Headlines
The Dutch are finally pushed back, and their last stand should take place in a few days.
Yorktown sinks.
Enterprise will sink (99-68-70-82 and increasing).

CV-battle conclusion
In the end it will be a tactical loss, but if Sebastian got scared/demoralized it will still be ok in my book. I am now left with 2 damaged CVs and the Enterprise, so for now, no navy aerial power. Well, bright side is that it will be alot easier upgrading all CV based CAGs to F4Fs now

Currently the biggest pain in the butt
IJN Subs...They are not that lethal as they are not in my major shipping lines, but they are indeed annoying.

Situation overall
Northern Oz - the "unsuplliable" part is in Japanese hands, that is no big threat, and can be retaken when I get some more units to play with.
Philliphines - We hold at Clark. The enemy is using Vals and Kates to bomb my forces, so in the future the KB will be lethal at bombing bases, but will not be able to hit a single ship it seems. Good news for me.
Burma/India - The enemy halted in Burma. We are now sending two infantry divisions along the coast into Burma. Another division should be ready to march south in central Burma soon (just need to recombine the sub units first).
China - a mess. I am probably the worst Chinese player on the board, so I always assume I will end up with a China consisting of Chungking and nothing more.
DEI - Japanese ccontrolled.
SoPac - The enemy controls the area down to (and including) Noumea, but his plans to continue to Suva seems to have been placed on hold as he realized that we have some 700 AV present. He is now bombing Suva every day, so I am building up the bases behind Suva to allow transistion of air groups, and placement of bomber units.
Kuriles - currently building up Dutch Harbour, will then slowly advance one base at a time westwards.
Cental Pacific - Quiet.

April 7th - April 10th 1942

There is really only two areas where there is a real war going on. China and the Suva-area. Burma/India is remarkably quiet, only some Japanese aerial recons, no sweeps, no bombings, no nothing really. There are alot of Japanese units based in Mandalay (report claims 12), and some units in the other bases I have reconned so far.
At Clark Field, the enemy is happy just bombarding with aerial and ground units, and I am happy just standing there.

China
It seems Sebastian is trying to take out China, but he will not succeed. Although he has more or less control over the entire north, and is now moving in from the NE towards Chungking (well, there are a few bases in between still), he simply does not have the AV needed to take Chungking, which means he will not be able to fre up his Chinese army to fight elsewhere. That is good news for me, even better is the fact that some 300+ Japanese planes are deployed in China every turn, even Kates are flying there. Better they bomb the Chinese than something useful imo.

Suva-Area
I really need to get the construction rate up down here, I need to get aerial support, and I really want some B17s flying out of Pago Pago soon. Espesially since Betties are now making my life here a royal pain. Pago Pago has not been a good spot for the IJN subs though, so I hope they come back

Overall
The Japanese are pushing all over, and I am struggling to keep my forces going. The differences from Scn 2 are not that big in some aspects, but in other aspects they seem monumental. Or it can be me remembering incorrectly. I am desperately short on anything you can name at this stage, and the lack of PPs prevents me from buying out Indian divisions to put more pressure on the IJA in Burma. I am also short on pretty much anything that can fly, and I am making sure I do not waste fighters going up against superior numbers of Zeroes. The REALLY bad news in terms of aviation, is that Sebastian has his first 2nd generation fighters coming up while I am still using the P40E...

Sit.Rep. by area
China
Utter disaster, and Sebastian is NOT killing off my units, he is merely pushing them back, denying me the ability to have them rebuilt at 33% at Chungking. Kudos

I still think I will hold Chungking in the long run, but that is about it I think.
India/Burma
I have two infantry divisions marching south along the coast, and I am using my 3 (THREE!!!) long range recon AC to the max to gain some intel. Enemy resistance seem somewhat low, and that is puzzeling. I do not however have the strength to liberate Burma, but I need to tie down IJA units.
Cocos Island
Daily bombed by 75ish AC, and was just visited by 3 BBs with friends as well. Reports claim 2 divisions prepping for the island. We have 2 brigades and an AA unit present...
Australia
The enemy holds the Darwin area, and we are happy to let him for the time being. If nothing else, it is doing wonders for the skills of the two B17 squadrons located in the area. Supplies are delivered from CT to Perth, no subs spotted so far.
SoPac
Suva is the hotspot, and the enemy is using alot of units, ships, planes in an attempt to seize control of the smaller attolls in the area. Very well, that is along way to sail for the IJN, so he should be burning quite a bit of fuel.
PH
So many ships to repair, so little space...
EC
Enemy subs seems to have disappeared. Probably because their low success rate in the area. Just glad San Diego and Los Angeles was targeted and not San Fransisco.
Kuriles
Still building up Dutch Harbour, no enemy moves detected.

Issues
I am down to 2 CVs, both are in the repair yard for some time.
I lack PPs.

Thoughts about facts in bold
1. That is alot of CV AC used for ground attacks, this has been going on for some time. I thought Japan was short on training Squadrons for the IJN??

Subj : Supply state and speeding up the repair yard commanders' work.

Sir, while alot of our repair yard commanders allready know this, I thought I would mention two things that can save them alot of time throughout the course of a war;
1. If there are alot of damaged ships in port, and you want them all placed either in the yard or pierside, there is time to be saved. Instead of running around to all the ships captains and telling them where you want them to go, order one ship into the repair yard (repair state : repair yard), then go to the repair yard, look at its usage. Now you will see all damaged ships here, instead of just the ones actually in the yards. Now you can simply order (click) the ships you want to place in the yard/pierside, instead of first visiting the ship (clicking) and then ordering them (another click).

2. In those rare occasions where the repair yards are so full that changing a ships repair orders take forever (this happens to me atleast, I will have alot of ships in naval repair/pierside/merely damaged, that changing a ship from repair yard to pier side takes about 10 secs), it is usually quicker to locate the ship you want to change orders for, then exit the yard, look at all the ships in the port, chose "ships under repairs", then chose the individual ship and give it new orders (this makes things alot quicker at my end atleast).

Anyway, I hope this will be helpful to some out there, yours respectfully.

Sir, we are running out of alot of stuff, although it might seem that the lack of support squads might be the most important, it is the empty pools of the Malay/Burmeese/Australians that is currently holding us back the most. See attached report.

As you asked if we learnt anything from G�nther Priens attack on Scapa Flow, I can only attach the AAR written down after a sub MINELAYING task force visited the IJN port at Noumea. Also worth noting, another IJN ship also hit one of the mines laid there.

Status Report
Allthough we cannot fight the Japanese on equal terms yet (darned PPs

), the situation has changed drastically nevertheless. The reason is that Sebastian seems to have become target-fixated on a few points, and it seems the situation around Suva and Pago Pago is causing him some worries/headaches. I am now heavily dug in, and it will take alot of forces to push me out, and PP is building its airfields as quickly as doable. Soon we should be able to place some B17s here, and then we will really teach him what US heavy bombers can do (He has had a taste in Northen Oz where 6 B17s have been shooting down Oscars and Zeroes as well as bombing his ground units for two months allready).

Main concerns
1. No operative CVs. One is in the yard at PH, and will not be ready for another 36 days, the other will soon arrive at Seattle with 16-8-18 major damage. No ships in the yards there, but I still expect the repair to take some time. However he still believes I have 3 operative CVs around, so he is afraid to commit the remains of KB it seems.
2. PPs. I have a severe lack of PPs, to the extend that I am looking forewards to when any air group has 60 days left untill it is to withdraw. I am withdrawing them at Day 60 to get as many PPs as possible from them. Need PP more than pilot exp atm.

List of things to use PPs on
1. US Infantry Divisions.
2. US Engineer units
3. Changing the upgrade path of some bomber squadrons (gee 100 PP to change from Bolo to B17s in some cases).
4. Indian Infantry Divisions.
5. US aerial units.
6. Australian units of various types.

Suva/PP
Seems this will be the hotspot. The Japanese keeps bombing Suva, and I have now brought B17s to PP. Alot of Japanese aerial and naval units in the area, and the waters are subinfested. This is also the area where the stacking limits with this map is causing me the most concern/issues/annoyment.
