ORIGINAL: JocMeister I just ordered a case. Wasn´t that expensive actually. About 90 USD for 20 bottles. I´ll leave you a report when I tried it! Its about 10 days of delivery before I can pick it up. I´m used to bottles actually. Needless to say with a little one and another on its way I see very little of bars these days! $2.25/bottle is "not that expensive"?! My local liquor store (granted, best in the metro DC area IMO) is typically $9-10 USD per 6-pack, or $1.50-1.67 per bottle. The more local it is, the cheaper - down to $7 at the cheapest. The most expensive is Rogue, from the west coast, at around $14 or so - or about what you're paying. Still! FWIW, it costs me about 1/3 what you pay to make my own . You should look into it. Not only is it cheap, but you get oodles of beer out of it and it's fun! And it makes your place smell like beer for an entire night. Even if all you do is make hoppy beers - those are really, really easy. Please post up if you discover that changing the base HQ affects air coordination. Posting, not PMing, because this is a public service: what in your opinion is the best liquor store in the metro DC area? Edited to add: I'm really enjoying this AAR - no offense intended, JocMeister! Public service request granted: The Village Pump in College Park/Greenbelt. I've been in other stores in the area that have a comparable selection of craft brews, but this one has the best prices by far. I've poked about in their wine selection and it's OK (mostly low- to medium-price varieties). But I go for the beer. They have your bog standard craft brews like Magic Hat, Sam Adams (I guess it counts), Saranac, and New Belgium, plus a ton of regionals - Brooklyn, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas, DuClaw, and a lot from Vermont (Wolaver's/Otter Creek, Long Trail, Harpoon). They have a decent selection of whiskey, but if I want to get a bottle of Templeton I have to go to the Calvert Woodley in DC or get a friend to buy it from his military base (which is cheaper). They'll also order things for you direct from the distributor, if you ask. It's a nice little family operation. quote:

ORIGINAL: catwhoorg Joc, time when home brewing isn't that much. The space though kind of grows. Been a few years since I did any (though DW was murmuring that it may be a good idea). Once (if) you find a place I'd be happy to answer any questions that arise. Thank you! Finding a good enough location within a reasonable drive distance that doesn´t cost a fortune is harder when then you think. I live in the capital and prices here are insane. We were looking for something "garage sized" at least. But none of us want to drive an hour to get there. Hopefully we will find something eventually! Garage-sized?! So you want a big time operation, then. Brewing up full kegs at once? With a turkey cooker and propane? That's serious business. quote:
ORIGINAL: JocMeister So, I know some of you, perhaps all of you have been a bit frustrated with me lately... I have been a busy little bee behind the scenes of this AAR though. So place your bets gentlemen! Where are we going? Since you didn't quiiiite crop out the hints of land around the edges, I'm going to spend a lot of time scrolling about the map before I submit my guess. Edit - actually, looking at the TF info screen tells me all I need to know. Your Endure Needed is only 360, which means it's only 9 hexes from where they're currently sitting to their destination and then back to their home port. That really narrows it down. You're going to Formosa? That's the only place I can think of where you would land 300,000 troops within 9 hexes of something you've already got. Your TFs are set to home port at Aparri. If I'm wrong, it has to be Hainan instead.
