The best book I ever read! The film is what I was told much different then the novel but nonetheless...............

I believe they have had big problems during filming and some of the stories don't give me hope where going to get a film that will do the book justice. I enjoyed the book, but it's not my favourite zombie orientated bit of entertainment. The Walking Dead TV series (which is really kicking off at the moment) and The Walking Dead PC game series have\are superb. I know many love the book, but I find many of my war memoir books more exciting and live with me alot longer.

Looks good though..I noticed some parts from the book..like the middle east section..

Now the TV series is also awesome, last episode was a total surprise for me. Without giving anything away for those who haven't seen it yet: love the idea that Carl is finally taking on a bigger role despite his young age. Glen is by far my favorite character just ahead of Darryl. Now if Andrea could get her head out of her A*** and see what the Governor is all about, and starting to really like Michonne........

Anyhow on the Film version of the book: I wish they would not have touch this excellent novel like they ruined "the Road" for me. The book was phenomenal but the movie was so bad, it actually made me no longer like the book as all I had imagined was now "tainted" with what the Director saw.

That is why I said "nonetheless" as I will look forward to this adaptation as a great Zombie movie and not World War Z per se.

I really didn't like the book.

That Walking Dead game... how can it be better than L4d or L4d2 ?

The book was ok... Sadly the movie looks like it's going to be pretty dumb. I'll check it out tho to feed my zombie fix.

Regarding Walking Dead....I never realized what a fine actor Scott Wilson is (Herschel)...I went back and watched In Cold Blood where he co-starred with Robert Blake and enjoyed that movie even more than I did in the past because I was appreciating his role and relating it to his Walking Dead performance.
