Is that St. Augustine? Been many years since I was there so I don't remember.
And What About Bob was my favorite Murray movie. Heck, I think you look a little more like Dr. Leo Marvin than Bob. Maybe it's just the beard.
The wife says you look very handsome Treale. She has always liked the salt and pepper look on men.
Baby steps.

Yes that is St. Augustine. We live about 100 miles from it. It is one of my favorite places to poke around. I'm really impressed with Castillo de San Marcos. Pretty neat!!
Ive been there a couple of times and it seems to be a decent place. The weather was beatiful. What size is the cannon your stand near?

Since I retired and moved to the ranch, I've dropped my weight from 235 down to 191 and went on a big physical fitness kick so I'm actually considering publishing a bikini shot LOL

Aking pamilya (my family), from left to right:
our daughter (recent Early Music/Music History graduate of McGill University, Montreal; aspiring early musician)
me (showing my age, also the effects of sleep deprivation from working nights)
my wife (we met, and married, when I was a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines in the late 1970s), with...
our first grandchild (cute as all heck)
our daughter-in-law (high school chum of our elder son)
our elder son (recently retired from a 15-year career in the U.S. Marine Corps; three combat tours, two in Iraq, one in Afghanistan; highest rank Gunnery Sergeant)
our younger son (in college studying to be a traditional 2D animator)

Here's an old shot of our paint ball team back in the late 80s (cripes can't believe it was almost 30 years ago). Six of the other guys in the shot are from my old wargaming crowd that I lost touch with about 10+ years ago, so if anyone recognizes themselves in the picture send me a PM and we can get in touch and catch up. I'm the tall guy on the far left. These days I wear a goatee along with the mustache and I'm old, fat and starting to grey.
Great pic. If they're commies they indeed need to be committed. Had you ever met a wannabe commie that didn't think themselves to be part of the Nomenklatura whether openly or in thought? I see them all over the net blasting capitalism never man enough to ever admit that without it they'd still be complaining about said capitalism with a pen and paper. Not very innovative, outside of military hardware, that stifling communism. You'd think they'd also have a real world example of a working communist state, but a quick look around the globe and through history tells otherwise.
Have you considered smacking some sense into them?

Communism/socialism is funny. It's ok to say that no one should own property, so long as it is everyone else that has to make the big sacrifice. Yeah, I've smashed my head against that wall with my friends for a very long time. I was always the black sheep amongst my Chomsky reading, new age freak pals. It's a difference that I love to have with them. And by this many years later, my argument points have become razor sharp blades.
I remember a story from Michael Badnarik, the former Libertarian Presidential candidate. He was debating with a socialist lady one time at the Texas Capital. She told him that no one should have property because it creates a top down poverty system where the poor have no opportunities and the rich only squander what they have. It was a cold day, and the lady was wearing a really nice thick coat. Michael Badnarik told her that he hadn't prepared for such cold weather and demanded that she let him wear her coat. She pulled the coat closer to her chest and told him no, he needed to go buy his own. Badnarik laughed and asked her why she thought that no one should own property and that we should all share, but at the moment when someone else needed what she had, that she had refused to make the sacrifice. She had no answer and walked away angry and probably rethinking her ideology.
