Here's the Odessa area. I have some Soviet divisions in the upper middle in this picture that are ALMOST surrounded. There's a narrow
snaking line of friendly hexes to supply them so far. John will probably figure that out and do something about it eventually. Other than
that my people are falling back slowly and standing their ground as best they can. Ignore losses is the rule for these units. Well, for all
of them really.

Is there someone to whom I can send my save files to so that they can post them also. I do not want to look at Larry's files until after the game is over, which will take about 2-3 years.

You know John, there's a free fileserver site that I've been using for years. I've been storing files there and posting the link to them on
the forum for a while now and I don't remember the time we've had trouble w/ it. It's http://www.mediafire.com and it'a free site. You
can upload them and copy the link to the file and post it in the forum and you're done. It's pretty straight forward and easy. You might
like it.

What's the name of the country in the far lower left corner of the game map? I've got some units over there and they have no hope of
ever being in the fight ever again and I'm wondering if I should disband them. I know we have a house rule about disbanding units
( not allowed ) but I wonder if Fogger would mind if I disbanded these three?

That is part of Italy and yes go ahead and disband them. Then I can move the force that I had covering them.

Thanks. I'm 1/2 afraid that they will just respawn in the same spot. D'oh.

Supply question. I am trying to bag the 16 + Div's that Larry has defending in the attached picture. What do I have to do to cut his supply lines? Do I have to take out the eng unit? Can Larry trace supply across a super river?

Hey Fogger dude: This is the supply trace for the area you have depicted above. It appears that all the supply for that group of 16
divisions goes through the hex that the engineer unit is in. So if you occupy that hex the group that's in question would then be
completely isolated. You're welcome. I'm pretty sure that no supply is flowing across a super river.

That is not quite correct. Larry's screenshot is from the turn before Fogger moved - Fogger's screenshot is from one turn later.

There is no more supply for the Soviet divisions north of Nikolaev nor for the Soviet units between Nikolaev and Snihurivka(?). The ZOCs of the German units will block supply. Now, if Larry is out of supply when he opens his turn depends wether you're playing with new or old turn order. With new turn order Larry will be out of supply. With the old rules he will have supply during his turn, but then no more unless he manages to reestablish lines of communications. This is well possible as i see the situation and if the situation doesn't change much. Either by combat or by moving the right unit to the right place...

Larry, if it's possible get the arty and the HQ (that also contains artillery) out of the pocket. If you want to save anything, these should have priority (take this advice from someone who plays the Soviets in FitE and has a serious shortage of tubes..)

New turn new picture. Here's the north part of the front lines in T18: John has made some progress and has broken through in several
places.

Here's the middle part of the front lines. John is really coming across the river w/ multiple units and he's got a really good toehold.

Here's the south part of the front lines. The Stalin Line is almost gone, my light screen elements are all surrounded, and I'm still lining up
troops along the riverbank in preparation for John's leaping across the river on me. John already has elements up to the river and I'm
expecting a river crossing attempt any turn now.

Here's the spot where John is seriously coming across the river. The situation is confused right now because my guys are just now
arriving via train and they aren't in their blocking positions yet. Nobody has moved yet so there's still time to fix this situation somewhat.

Pardon me for interrupting but I think John is asking for someone to post his screenshots in this thread so that he won't have to look at *your* screenshots.
Matter of fact it is quite unusual, although it does happen from time to time, that both sides post their screenshots in the same thread. Often the thread of the one side is off limits for the other side, peeking is considered cheating...depending on house rules. In this case it ain't cheating, and it sure makes following the AAR a bit easier to follow.
If I'm mistaken however then my apologies, being an ignorant foreigner and all...

Okay I've moved everybody and hit the end turn button and the attacks started. Here's where I attacked his tank unit and got 5 of his
best tanks. And I only lost a handful of squads.

Hi Josh & others,
What I was offering was to send my saved files to someone who could post to the files somewhere so that for anybody interested, they could see the battle from my “side of the hill” (like the offer Larry has made) and thus see the full picture.

ALSO.

I would like to ask a favour on behalf of my mate Klaus (Wilhelm Klink). He needs some people to do beta-testing of his “Kharkov 43”. I would like to help him but if I do this game will go on hold for a couple of weeks as I only have time for 1 game at a time.

So if you are enjoying the AAR on this game PLEASE put your hand up and “take a game for me and Larry”. Klaus is a young pup and unlike Larry and myself, he is not yet a “GOB” so please help. We do want Klaus to become a “GYB”.

Also we all win if he can produce / design a good game. Just look at the “bugs” at the start of this game.

Thanks
John

AGN is attacking towards Leningrad with a four prong attack. With the fall of Murmansk I have been able to transfer ?? divisions to the NE attack plus reinforce the Finn’s. I think a four prong attack should keep Larry off balance. I do not think he has enough forces to block all four directions.

I spent most of the turn reducing Larry's forces in my rear area. This I think will take another 2-3 turns to complete. Once my rear is secured it will release a number of panzer div's back into my reserve. I currently have committed all my panzer div's.

New turn, new pictures. This is the north end of the front lines. Fogger is making progress almost everywhere and I'm having to rail more
and more people into the AO to hold the line.
