Black Sunday for me. Ramsey & Azpilicueta didn´t play & my subs are crap.
At least the title race remains close.

You'll get points for the West Brom geezer (2) and Ward (tbc). I should get 3 points for Lallana. Lord of the Ings may get replacement points for Bardsley (depends if he plays in the week) and Ramsey (5) so yet more good news for him.

The only way I can win the championship now is for:

Suarez and Sterling to score poorly tomorrow
Dzeko to be outscored by Yaya Toure in the week
My Manchester United and Sunderland players to score well...

At the end of Sunday, with one game to go (+ the midweek fixtures) the gap is up to 20 points.......

....and that ends my challenge . I took a gamble and spent big to get as many players as possible playing twice this week and....

....Mata and Evra are not even playing... What a disaster .

Last round of games coming up this week.

As stated previously my plan failed to come off - although in fairness, even had Mata scored and Evra played it would still not have helped keep me in the lead so it was more a case of bad decision rather than bad luck.

The gap between the top three is now 45 points; Warspite Hotspur and Matrix City will need to choose a captain that no one else picks and hope he does the business...

2,243 points

2,231 points

2,198 points

I've dropped my entire team and replaced them with a combination of Norwich/Newcastle and Cardiff players.

I wonder what odds you would get on a West Ham win?

And so the season draws to a close.

On an exciting final day, Warspite Hotspur FC scored 64 points to finally overhaul Lord of the Ings, while Matrix City FC consolidated third place.

I've got to say that was really good fun - thanks to Dixie for organising in the first place. The final table is below:

Australian Beauties Premier League 2013/14

1 Warspite Hotspur FC - 2,291
2 Lord of the Ings - 2,284
3 Matrix City FC - 2,252
4 Last post - 2,098
5 Laralayabouts2 - 2,018
6 FC Stricker - 1,898
7 Sardaukars - 1,848
8 Zeta16 - 1,828
9 Team Error - 1,814
10 Tired & Emotional - 1,767
11 Ormster United - 1,710
12 Les Paul - 1,679

Champions

Congratulations!

Thought I was in trouble when Suarez didn't score.

Very close though and good fun!

Congratulations Warspite to a last minute come from behind victory.

Does the Spurs already contacted you? I think they are in dire need of someone with profound knowledge of the Premier League.

Congratulations Warspite. Unfortunately real life (tm) managed to interrupt my season and I ended up spending a lot of time away on courses etc. Bit of a bugger as I was hoping to manage the full season. Oh well, there's always next year I guess.

Thanks all. Spurs do not need me - they need to get rid of that Arsenal fan Daniel Levy....

Out of curiosity I compiled this small overview.

You can clearly see, where I failed miserably.

What is this table telling us th1207? Is this Games Played for Matrix City and points scored for Matrix City only?

Oops, yes.
That´s the stats of the entire squad of Matrix City FC over the course of the season.
Forgot to note that on the spreadsheet.

I doubt that I will join. While it was fun I completely forgot to change my team way to often.

Maybe I will join and just let my original team stand.

Good man Cribtop.

I know its early days, but no harm in getting in early.

I have set up a new league - imaginatively titled the Matrix Premier League

Please click on the link below to register

http://fantasy.premierleague.com/

You can then ask to join the league using the code below (don't copy and paste - that caused problems for a few of us last year).

Code to join this league: 89658-27593

Hope to see as many of you as possible this season

As this season's competition is sponsored by Matrix Games, the winner will win A FREE GAME of his/her choice*

* This of course may be completely untrue and just a crafty ruse to get peeps to compete, but I couldn't possibly comment.

Back in this year, hoping to improve on 2nd place.

Best bit about this season for me is when it asks "What premier league team do you support?", I can actually put in Burnley!

Please note the code in Post 534 has changed (I have amended that post and confirm the code to join this league is: 89658-27593)

I'm in.

I'm genuinely unsure who to pick now. Stick with Aguero? Or swap him for a slightly cheaper alternative? I've managed to fit Toure (the good one!) Ozil, Ramsey, Aguero and Zabaletta into the team by making some sacrifices elsewhere. Mainly defence, but I might switch things about. The only area I'm really not sure on is the goalkeeper.

Good stuff - that's four of us so far, with two more having confirmed they will join.

That leaves four more to get to a nice round 10 - which should be the minimum for a sensible contest.

I suggest that the winner of this contest would be invited to join Lord Warspite1 and the semi-finalists of the ABMBWITWBOTF100BWAFEAI 2015 for a R & R cruise in the Caribbean.
