day 4. I should've moved those ships to unload at La Foa after the troops were off.

Just to remind everyone, Raiden is free to visit this thread and contribute if he wishes. Just keep that in mind.

I think it is safe now to admit that my original plan was to capture Fiji, Pago Pago, Christmas Island, Palmyra and Canton Island in one fell swoop. This plan was still active up to a week ago (game time). The units to carry out each invasion were segregated and assigned. I did not allow any of them to "plan for" the attack so that Raiden would not know what was up.

[I'm going to compose the rest of this in Word before I get kicked off.]

Each invasion posse was designed to be sufficient to capture the target and then accomplish the requisite work at each site. Unfortunately it took longer than I hoped to herd all these cats together and begin the campaign. I’m pretty sure Raiden achieved some reinforcement of some of these targets before I could have arrived. It is certain that he did (perhaps in the nick of time at Suva), complicating my strategy. The KB had not gotten the opportunity to rearm, and were now out of torpedoes. After the initial landings at Nadi, I decided the original plan was just too long a stretch and modified it to capture Espiritu Santo and New Caledonia. Realize that the troops involved in all these landings had been shipboard for over a month.

Here is the Odyssey of the KB so far. I forgot to load turn 2 into Tracker.

Looks like a constellation, doesn't it? The crane sitting on her nest ready to peck to death anything that tries to reach her nestlings.

1/28/42 S-37 at the top of the screenshot below is an instance of running afoul of your own minefield, as I had placed none there. I don't know if this was influenced by my possession of Manila (I should hope not). Leander and Adelaide bombarded my troops at Noumea, who have still failed to take her (but I think will tomorrow). Suva has also held out, but my troops will have to take a breather before assaulting again.

Evidently, Raiden is further reinforcing Suva with what I would guess is an infantry brigade or regiment.

I'm not running into much resistance in front of Singapore. Apparently he did not reinforce her with any of the British troops at sea when the war began. I see that many of the ships I've bombed in Singapore were Dutch. I suppose (even though many were xAP) they were just delivering supplies.

The Cardinals survive.

The evil empire of the Ordinals will soon be defeated.

I should remind everyone that it is much kinder to defeet someone than to behead them.

2/17/42 A funny thing happened on the way to Fiji. I am reporting this before I have given Raiden the opportunity to give orders for tomorrow, so he can see this and take it into consideration. He has enough B-17's to try to kill my ground troops besieging Suva (which they are woefully poor at doing) but has none available to hunt for the KB. Anyways, as far as I could tell, he did not see me coming, but I saw him. I thought there was a 50% chance of a carrier battle today, but it didn't happen; close call though. Here's what did happen:
