We received several requests for a preview of the manual and also for a printer-friendly version that removes the manual background. Hopefully this will address both requests! The printer-friendly manual is attached to this post, enjoy.

Regards,

- Erik

Much appreciated.
Still on the fence but I'll start reading a bit and see if this would be something for me.

Very nice - now I have something to read on my ipad while waiting for the kids.
This "simulation" just gets better and better the more I dig into it - "go to bed honey, I've just got a little more work to do on the computer" ;>

Ah thank you! It's not only printer friendly but also makes reading (on screen) more comfortable.

As a manual meant for printing at home, much better.

Thanks.

Thanks. Although I`m a bit confused while a "printer friendly" version didn`t look like this to start with.

Thanks a lot. I hope this is not asking too much but can we have the "to print" version in this format also as the single page version is better suited to be use on a tablet or eReader in portrait mode.

Thanks. It would have been even better to have the text on a single column ! This would make it easier to read with an ebook readers.

I copied the manual to my Kindle Fire and the double columns showed up as a single page. It actually reads much better on the Kindle than on my PC. I have the latest build that was available on 12/3/2013.

Later,
Dan

You guys crack me up.... I can't believe there's a Star Trek 2 reference in the manual.

Is there any plan for an updated manual? There's been a lot of development since release.

Are there any plans for a Scenario Editor manual? I know that the basics of using the Scenario Editor are in Ch.7 of the manual, but I mean beyond the mechanics of simply using it.

For example, I learned about how random start points for enemies are achieved by watching one of the videos on YouTube by baloogan. It would be nice to have a dedicated Scenario Manual that covers these things. You could even structure it as a "Cookbook" (like some of the programming books do) that shows you how to achieve different tasks, and by doing those things in the Scenario Editor, you learn it in-depth.

The Editor section of the manual does cover the functions.

We are planning and update at some point to reflect all changes made from the 1.00 release. There are tons.

Does 1.04 update the entire manual or is it still 2 separate entities?

Separate. The Manual Addendum pages cover all the changes/additions since v1.0 and the Mega-FAQ covers the most common questions.
