When making DB requests, would it be easier for you if we fill out something like a standard form (excel spreadsheet?) as completely as possible? Of course you'd still have to vet the info, but it might save you guys some manual input and help limit the amount of ancillary data you need to hunt down if we had a better idea of what specifications you're looking for.

Heh, I wasn't being passive aggressive! I was just looking at all the stuff in here recently and wondered if there was an easier way.

[ADDED DB pre-436]

I'd like to suggest a couple of corrections to upcoming Australian military hardware:
*The MH-60Rs are currently in the DB with only a torpedo load out. These helicopters will also operate Hellfire missiles: http://news.navy.gov.au/en/Sep2014/Fleet/1372/An-'aggressive'-two-days-for-Romeo-squadron.htm#.VQPAzo6Uf_E , http://www.news.com.au/national/the-royal-australian-navy-boosts-firepower-with-hellfire-missile/story-fncynjr2-1227007566580

*The Australian P-8s also only have a torpedo load out. They will also be equipped with Harpoon missiles: http://www.airforce.gov.au/Technology/Future-Acquisitions/Boeing-P8-A-Poseidon/?RAAF-Z4PUOpGXH/eLtWmc6qxYl9xYycb+rKng (see the 'specifications' tab)

Thanks

I posted in this in tech support a while back but it may be more appropriate here. I added the LaWS laser gun prototype (2013) to a ship but when used against a missile it has a base-ph of 30% but the database says it's 90%. Is this working correctly?

There are many modifiers that affect actual (as opposed to nominal) PoK and CEP.
* Whether the mount is local-control only or relies on external director. In the latter case, if the director is tracking the target,
* Ship size (the larger the better, because of stability)
* Ship speed (the higher the worse)
* Sea state (the higher the worse)

Which is the thread on tech support?

[UPDATED DB v437]

Worked out some corrections and suggestions to look up once the devs team gets back to work.

Regarding the armament of #2406 - PF 15 Gregorio del Pilar -- Philippines:

The BRP Gregorio del Pilar is armed two additional 20mm Oerlikon gun systems mounted midships, port and starboard behind the RHIB davits. These are currently missing in the game. The guns are the same type as the 20mm Oerlikons on the Jacinto-/Peacock-class vessels. Also, a single MK 38 Mod 0 gun system has been positioned where the Phalanx CIWS was previously located. This configuration is valid from the first day the ship entered service with the Philippine Navy. It's also important to know that above mentioned adds only apply to the BRP Gregorio del Pilar, not its sister ship, the BRP Ramon Alcaraz.

So now, I like to suggest adding the PF 16 Ramon Alcaraz to the game as a single DB entry because her armament differs from that of the Gregorio del Pilar.
The BRP Ramon Alcaraz lacks the 20mm Oerlikons and the stern-mounted single MK38 Mod 0. Around August last year, she received two brand-new MK38 Mod 2 25mm chain guns. These have been installed at the same spot, the Gregorio del Pilar mounts her 20mm Oerlikons. Until now, only the BRP Ramon Alcaraz has received that upgrade.

http://maxdefense.blogspot.de/2015_01_01_archive.html

Thanks!!!

Supreme

[UPDATED DB v437]

Can you add HMS Ambush, second boat of the Astute class? In service Royal Navy link below:

http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/our-organisation/the-fighting-arms/submarine-service/fleet-submarines/astute-class/hms-ambush

Also, Astute is listed in the database as S20. Her number is S119. Ambush's number is S120.

And both have only 1 reactor, not 2 as listed. Here's a good open source stating "a nuclear reactor"

Oh, yeah, sorry - wasn't thinking clearly. No there are no differences that I'm aware of, other than it having many fewer teething pains than Astute :-)

So it's just the number and the number of reactors.

While I have your attention, though, SEAWOLF class (including JIMMY CARTER) also only have one reactor, not two as listed.

I did some research about the Kirov class battle cruisers because many web sources sum all four ships up as if they have the same weapon systems, and most pictures don't show the right ship they refer to.
Some things should be changed.
First how you can see which ship is on a picture.
Uschakov /ex Kirov: SS-N-14, 2x100mm (easy to idetify)

Lazarev /ex Frunze: SA-N-9 instead of SS-N-14 at the front and SA-N-9 at the back instead of AK630, the CIWS have moved to a position more forward near the FCR radar

Nakhimov /ex Kalinin: SA-N-9 and SA-N-4. Instead of 8x AK630 30mm CIWS 6x CADS-N-1

Petr Velikiy /ex Yuri Andropov: like Nakhimov but without SA-N-4 and different SA-N-6

Uschakov / ex Kirov: everything correct. position of AK630 on Uschakov compared to position on Lazarev

Lazarev / ex Frunze #498 and #152: SA-N-9 launchers should be added. SA-N-9 left and right from helo elevator SA-N-9 in front of SA-N-6 SA-N-9 at the front, decommissioned Lazaraev picture from this article

Nakhimov / ex Kalinin #496, #566 and #151: SA-N-9 and SA-N-4 should be added.
SA-N-4 between two domes SA-N-9 in front of SA-N-6 SA-N-9 next to helo elevator and ship name whole ship at the front a part from the SA-N-4 launcher visible and good view on the aft SA-N-9

Petr Velikiy /ex Yuri Andropov: everything correct no SA-N-4 between two domes compared to Nakhimov

Thanks Schroedi,

I did a fair bit of research on the Kirovs some time ago and I'm pretty certain the missile fit in the database is correct. Although there was space reserved for SA-N-9 on ship #2 and #3, neither the launchers nor the fire-control radars were installed. If you look closely at the photos you can see the launcher areas are blanked off, and the FCS are missing.

If you'd still like to arm the ships with their 'full theoretical' missile load you can add the necessary launchers in the scenario editor, no problem

[PARTLY ADDED DB v437]

well lets start from wrong thing:

#2394 - Vehicle (Avtobaza [Kvant IL222] Mobile Jammer+ELINT)
"Avtobasa" by themselves is ELINT station with characteristics
citation from "Kvant" site:
"Ground complex executive ELINT "Avtobaza" is designed for reconnaissance aircraft with
impulsive side-looking radar, radar control weapons class "air-to-ground" radar ensure flight at
low altitudes and provide intelligence automated control point jammers Apure.
Operating frequency range 8000 MHz - 17544 MHz
The maximum range of intelligence: 150 km"

http://kvant-vn.ru/product.php in russian

also:
"The complex includes IRTR machine hardware on the chassis Ural-43203, and power on the chassis KAMAZ-4310.

Complex IRTR works automatically, providing passive search emitting targets in a circular uniform rotation of the antenna system is broadband and bespoiskovym frequency. The entire operating frequency range is covered by three sub-bands A, B and C in accordance with the operating frequency range of jammers SPN-2 and SPN-4. Emitting radar detection is performed simultaneously in all the subbands. Determination of the angular coordinates, parameters and class radar carried by a pack of signals received during the observation target (15 ms at a speed of 12 antennas. / Min. And 30 ms - at 6 vol. / Min.)."

so by themselves Avtobaza is only ELINT station with ability to operate with SPN-2 and SPN-4 jammer systems

can you pleasse add to database :
ELINT + Jamming System 1L267 "Moskva-1"

from left to right: Jammer station 1L266 ,ELINT station 1L265, command vehicle 1L267

according to this article :
http://lenta.ru/news/2013/12/10/moscow1/ in russian

Detection range - up to 400 km

it will be really good if you add jammers 1L269 "Krasuha-2"(main target - jamming AWACS)

and
1L257 "Krasuha-4"

multifunctional jamming module module :
"Purpose the station - a cover of stationary objects from airborne radar ,radar reconnaissance planes E-8C "JSTARS" multifunction radar from strike aircraft, intelligence and reconnaissance and strike UAV "Global Hawk" and "Predator" radar satellite "Lacrosse".

also citation from "KRET":
"Complex "Krasuha-4" completely closes off the radar detection area of 150-300 km, and can also cause damage to enemy radar electronic warfare and communications. The work is based on a complex creation of powerful noise at the fundamental frequencies of radar and other radio-emitting sources."

http://kret.com/ru/product/12/ in russian

and 67N6 "Gamma-D"

Mobile, fully solid-state high-grade radar medium and high altitudes UHF wave phased array radar "Gamma-DE" (67N6E) designed for efficient detection, identification, positioning and tracking of a wide class of current and future air threats, including high-rise subtle aircraft missiles (the goal) under conditions of strong electronic warfare and natural disturbances, as well as information from the aircraft equipped with the defendant in the codes of ICAO.
Provides three different ways to complete the radar "Gamma-DE" ("Gamma D1E", "Gamma-D2E", "Gamma D3E"), differing range and power consumption

Maximum range / maximum height detection
target with RCS 1m2, km:
Radar for "Gamma D1E" 400/40 (315/120)
Radar for "Gamma-D2E" 370/40 (315/120)
Radar for "Gamma D3E" 310/40 (285/120)
Maximum range / maximum height detection
target with RCS 0,1m2, km:
Radar for "Gamma D1E" 240/40 (230/120)
Radar for "Gamma-D2E" 210/40 (195/120)
Radar for "Gamma D3E" 175/40 (165/120)

from "Almaz-Antey" site :
http://www.almaz-antey.ru/catalogue/millitary_catalogue/53/281/295 in russian

also in every #2029 - SAM Bn (SA-21a/b Growler [S-400 Triumph]) there is two 34Ya6 systems
http://www.russianarms.ru/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=bkbsmmonub3g93pisog1k0lp80&action=dlattach;topic=11873.0;attach=140774;image

Means of protection for radar "Gazetchik-E" (34YA6E)

Means of protection for radar "Gazetchik-E" (34YA6E) is designed to protect the radar from anti-radar missiles (ARM) by briefly turning off their radiation ,detector ARM autonomous commands in conjunction with the use of distracting devices in the frequency range of radar, as well as the formulation of aerosol and dipole interference for missile guidance systems with heat, television and active radar homing

from "Almaz-Antey" site :
http://www.almaz-antey.ru/catalogue/millitary_catalogue/53/281/644 in russian

also please add in database SRTR "Valeria":

[ADDED DB pre-v436]

Indonesia is looking to build up its presence in the South China Sea, so I found following additions reasonable for possible. Please add them at some point down the road.

CN-235-220 MPA - Indonesia (Air Force)

Year delivered: 2008

Sensors:
1x Ocean Master 100 MK II
1x AN/ALR-733(V)2
1x Generic FLIR (Unable to find anthing for this)

Engines: 2x CT7-9C

Indonesia Air Force Handbook Volume 1 Strategic Information and Weapon Systems

CN-235-220M [Patmar] - Indonesia (Navy)

Year delivered: 2013

Wingspan (with Winglet): 27,0 m

Sensors:
1x AN/APS-143C(V)3 Ocean Eye (Initially Ocean Master 400 MK II)
1x FLIR Safire III

(The new Navy version of the CN-235 is often said to be fitted with AN/ASQ-508 MAD and AN/ALR-733 ESM but so far imagery has proven that not such systems have been installed on Indonesian Navy aircrafts. With the replacement of the Ocean Master Radar with an AN/APS-143(V)3, the sensor suite of the CN-235-220M is now similar to that of the USCG CN-235's. Taken from a forum: "Various reports have suggested that the Thales Amasco system on the first and original MPA was replaced with the Telephonics AN/APS 143C3 maritime radar along with FLIR Star Safire HDI and this will be standardized across the fleet for these new MPA.")

Engines: 2x CT7-9C

[FIXED DB pre-v436]

The Small Diameter Bomb (#484) has a base DP (187.5) out of line with it's warhead size (93kg Tritonal). Additionally the warhead weight may be including the case weight instead of only the weight of it's explosive filler, some sources place the fill weight at 50lbs (22.67kg). The issue effects the SDB-II (#2855) as well as they share a warhead (that may be erroneous as well).

[FIXED DB pre-v436]

DB 3000 correction to JY-8A "WALL RUST" radar (Facility_1007 and 1010). The listed max range is 165 nm (305 km). According to
People's Liberation Army Navy: Combat System Technology, 1949-2010
the range of the JY-8A is reduced to 91 nm (150 km), but it has improved low altitude detection over the JY-8.
Jane's appears to agree with the 150 km number. See http://librarun.org/book/30265/417
If these range numbers are adopted in the database, the "Long Range" designation should also be modified.

Hi Guys

Newbie here , this is more of a request rather than fix required, but I am unsure where to raise this, ok so I was running some scenarios utilising low level airfield attacks using British Tornados, I noticed that when using systems like JP233 or the german MW1 dispenser, that mines are not actually depicted.

That got me thinking, could we have a mod that allows land based mine fields? Its not a great solution , but it would allow us to mimic minfields, it doesnt need to be anything fancy just a generic AT mine and a AP , we already have naval mines so I cant see it being a huge deal.

Please move this if this is the incorrect place.

MQ-8C loadout.

Unable to post images/links yet, however if you search Flikr for "MQ-8C Jacksonville 2014" there are a few nice images of both the 7-shot APKWS launcher (USN model) and a 2-shot Hellfire rail due for testing from November last year and later this year respectively.

Note that BAE systems have already qualified the 7-shot USN APKWS launcher on the 407GT back in 2013 ahead of the MQ-8C.
