ORIGINAL: John 3rd Paula 'tolerates' my addiction to AE. The thing that scares her is my 10-Year Old wants to learn how to play it. He can identify ALL the different American WWII fighters and knows the difference between an Oscar and a Zero. Is THAT when you are an addict. You pass it on down a generation??? No, that is being a great Dad. Long after the wheel of time has ground all of us reading this tread today down to dust, hopefully your son will have a warm memory of something he shared with you when seeing "ancient" documentary films of a war more than a century past and in his turn pass that on to his children. Immortality comes from being remembered. Your a lucky man having a kid interested in AE. My oldest daughter is interested in military history to a point. She did want to go to the airforce museum the last time she was out here. We went and spent a lot of time in the world war two display area talking about different things. She has watched Band of Brothers with me several times. Both of my daughters played and were very good at Call of Duty. My youngest played a couple of games of Campaigne series, west front with me. DanSez is correct....GP
