We have 12 people - the dirty dozen, ready to go into Round 2. Let me know if you are ready. also I will be probably matching losers with losers and winners with winners to create some dynamics.

Good idea! Gary are you ready for a game? But only if VikingNo2 surrenders. My plate is full with Capt Pixel's challenge

Not sure what the rules are for second round.

Are we suppose to switch countries or do you just work it out between the two parties?

Anyway I played Russia in the last round, so I can play either USA or Russia in round two?

1942 is the year for round 2 right?

Red,
With yours and VikingNo2's permission, Gary and I would like to start. If you would be so kind as to flip a coin, winner is player #1. I call heads.

Gary
I think we are supposed to alternate. Which means that I would be German. Earlier in this thread I promised to play before the first Tigers came on the scene, which was August, I believe. Are you okay with that? Let's finish set-up parameters on an AAR/DAR thread. So we don't clutter up this one.

AD,
I was confused at first too. I think that the stats are supposed to read you have 1 win out of 1 game and Willy has 1 loss out of 1 game.

Is that it Red?

UBIQUE!

Darn, Gary beat me to the explanation!:(

Round 2 Group A:
----------------------------

Buzzard45:1/1
vs
Gary Tatro:?/1

VikingNo2 (0/1) WC'02:0/1
vs
ThomasBELL123(0/1)

3/2 ACR:1/1
vs
Rokondo:1/1

red:0/1
vs
Mogami:0/1

AngryDeemon1:1/1
vs
Brutto-Bob:1/1

Shiner:1/1
vs
Aussem:1/1

willy:0/1
vs
Ironfist:0/1

(???)
Hades:0/1
vs
Jim Lindquist:?/1

Note: Hades, you can be matched with Jim Lindquist once he is available

unless he is a winner then you can request somebody else who lost Round 1.

Note 2: Every body pick the alternate country to the one you played in Round

1.

Note 3: I'm considering providing a way for one player out of all who will

lose two games and thus cannot proceed onto Round 4 to stay in.

Note 4: It's accepted if both opponents countries match.

In Round 2 I am USA.

It was a draw and Jim played a great game. But I ended up winning in points due to some mistakes he made early on. Good game Jim look forward to seeing you in the semi-finals.

Countries.

-----
Round 1: 1941
Round 2: 1942
Round 3: 1943
Round 4: 1944
Round 5: 1945

Note: This will test your skill on throughout the world war II. The month is up to you and your opponent.
After Round 5 you decide on the year.

Standard Setup
--------------
* C&C OFF
* True Rarity ON
* 10% artillery includes all units capable of indirect fire.
* No pre-laid Mines
* Meeting engagement
* 1 Platoon infiltrators Max (4 squads) no minimum.
* 2 airstrikes Max. (4 planes) No mIn.
* game points 4000-7000

Note: Both players can agree on different terms if they want.

Response Time
-------------

Staying Alive
-------------
You get 1 point for a win determined by the number of points calculated by the AI after the game is finished.
Everybody will play 3 games. In order to procede to Round 4, you must have 2 points. Starting with
Round 4, the contest becomes like playoffs, if you lose a game, you are out.

Player List:
------------
red (aka The Matrix):USSR/Germany
AngryDeemon1 (aka Matrix Insurgent): USSR/USA
rbrunsman (Matrix Veteran):USA/Germany

TheOverlord(Matrix Trooper):Germany/USA
patriot101(Matrix Recruit):UK/USSR

Amendments:

1. There will be a limit on the number of heavy AA guns purchase, maximum set is platoon size. Being realistic you can't think one could use them as attack weapon by moving and firing them in the same round. It's a heavy Flak gun so get real and since the game engine allows it, this limitation will keep its use to a fair level.

He (Scharfschutze) has hardware problems. The game is still on, just waiting for him to sort things out ...

So rbrunsman, UK vs US, 1942 in the desert I presume :) My email is squirmer@tpl.uklinux.net. Prefer large 100x80 map, otherwise whatever.
