Hello,

I'm a big fan of just running a ant farm empire, setting up full automation and just tweaking the settings a little bit in the Empire policy.

However I noticed a lot of times the AI doesn't do fleet formations correctly.

For example, if you tell it to have 80% of military ships need to be in strike force/Fleets, a lot of the times (most of the time) it will still only average about 30% of all military vessels in a fleet.

Also I notice only about 25% of my games the AI actually creates strike forces. I notice that when they make strike forces they tend to follow the Empire Policy setting correctly, but that doesn't happen very often.

Anybody know what drives this or what could be the problem?

I don't know, but I do hands off games too as a pirate and notice most ships are not added to fleets. The AI also seems to create and disband fleets/strike fleets at will when it wants a fleet for a mission.
