Sumatra: I figure the Jap CA's have shot their wad so I send an AK to Sabang to drop off beans and burrets and start the troops transports back toward Sabang as well

Annoying LYB's aren't done yet. 5 point AK and an YMS lost..plus no ammo for Sabang.

Status: offline 		The IJN cruisers begin to retire down the West coast of Sumatra but run into the RN escort force for the trannies. Fortunately, it is a daytime battle so we don't get Rong Ranced. Looks like we win this and the trannies are safe. Annoyingly, the dive bombers at Sinabang don't attack the IJN cruisers not 40 miles away. I think it was an air search problem. Too bad.

Status: offline 		We recon Alor Star in Malaya. Level 6 AF and only 800 troops there with very few guns....perhaps Koreans in diapers. I send in the heavies to rough them up and maybe get some intel by HE. JJ sniffs this out and shoot down some 24's. Bad plan

Status: offline 		Uggh. As soon as we trickle in some supply to Clark the LYB's bombard again and use it all up. The IJA attacks at Clark are much more successful because our arty is without ammo.

Status: offline 		New Guinea: I had to call off the Manokwari landing because of the Jap carriers. The transports unloaded at Hollandia and now have to dry out their knickers for a few days. Could have been very ugly if we had all the transports up there when the carriers showed up.

Status: offline 		The bean counters at work are monitoring our completed tasks TWICE a day now. The "Professional Services Agreement" stipulates that WE provide the medical expertise and risk infection every day and THEY provide the support services..lab...xray...medical assistants..LVN's..RN's...IT...scribes..yada, yada, yada.


All very fine but now there are no scribes, the RN's are sticking swabs up noses and the IT folks keep doing "upgrades" that shut the system down. There would have been a fragging by now but they cut the supply of grenades.

Status: offline 		Reading about the battle for the Meuse crossings in 1940. Sweet baby Jesus one side was criminally unprepared. That section of the Meuse is a serious obstacle with impressive defensive positions and excellent observation on the opposite bank. All of the bridges were blown, which was at least competent but the effort to stop and then repel enemy infantry and engineers from developing bridgeheads was indolent and pathetic. In one case the prepared side evidentarry walked their motorcycles across the top of narrow lock

PI: You never know what disasters are befalling the enemy but I think we will be driven out of Clark AF hex. Our assault values keep dropping and almost all the infantry is disabled. It's really the remaining Shermans and some SP AT Bns without M-10's holding the line. No more M-10's in the cookie jar. I have ordered the last infantry reserves save elements of 182nd IR at Bataan forward for the final battle. Only one arty unit has ammo. I have started almost all the arty back toward Bataan.

Emergency B-24 raid on Manila today. I have switched all the transports in Mindanao to transporting 182nd IR to Bataan so there will be some infantry left in the Clark forces retreat. There are Jap SCTF DD's off Bataan to keep any LCT's or AK's getting in. It's down to the subs again.

Status: offline 		More reinforcements landing at Padang. Indian 5th Div has arrived from North Africa and is embarking at Colombo for Padang. That should allow a campaign down the east coast of Sumatra, eventually threatening Palembang and Singers by air.
