Flores: IJN parks 2 carrier TF's with almost 400 Zekes North of Flores and sends hundreds of sorties against a US/RAN cruiser/DD TF on station at Flores. The planes from Flores, Koepang and Roti provide good overhead cover, destroying perhaps 120 Zekes, Judys and Kates with no shipping losses except an LCM, LCT and minesweeper. 250 troops of Br 53 Brigade lost at sea. IJN fighters shoot down 8 B-24's and perhaps 10 B-25's over Flores. That's like a month worth of B-24 replacements but overall we win the exchange bigly

I caught the 'Rona. 3rd doc in a suite with 4 docs to get it. I think Pfizer owes me a partial refund.

Also, the notion that Omicron is "mild" seems like false advertising to me. I spent 4 days on the couch watching Netflix and now they have me doing telehealth.

If 3 weeks from now there is another variant and we start all over again I am not going to be pleased.

Condolences on becoming an omicronian. It's an unpleasant experience.

Three cheers for USS Drum. Very large number of subs deployed to find Fuso fail to do so. The Jap BB's turn around and head back toward Beazalbob. At least one of the Jap carrier groups heads toward Kendari. Not sure where the other one went.

Sub attack near Kendari at 71,106

Mindanao: Japs grinding down our troops on Mindanao. I started a pullout from Malaybalay which is a very strong position but you just can't feed that many mouths. I don't think we are going to be able to save the lads. JJ putting up a Hell of a fight over Ceram and Ambon and Flores

WHOA! Looks like the entire IJA 33rd Div landing at Zamboanga. Just a couple of Dutch guys and a weak Fliipino Regt and some aviation guys. Bad news for Zamboanga. Looks like the Japs are either really bad swimmers, or they just went in unprepped
