We hope you will continue to provide occasional updates on the adventures of these unforgettable characters.
Did Wong Hung Lo survive, or is there none to Hung Lo?
Will Captain Ho Lee Fuk ever stop taking his name in vain as he clings to the wreckage?
Will they be picked up by a lifeboat manned by an Indian boy named Piscine (Pi for short) who has an unusual travelling companion?
Will they make it back into the water in time?
"The world wonders".

Good air results over Noumea. We lost some Wirraways trying to deliver mail to a WJD CL loitering around off Sydney and 4 B-17's attacking Toowoomba and La Foa.

We lost USS Chester yesterday. She tried to make a run from Sydney but her pumps failed. Bad juju. USS Louisville made it out safely
but will be out of the war for a while. 2 other CA's and a CL will have to stay until they pump out some flooding.

2 regiments of Americal Div arrive at Melbourne tomorrow. We set up aline South of Brisbane but they would never stand up to the full 3 divisions at Brisbane should they move South. US 24th ID also on it's way.

It is an argument for the PH attack on Dec 7. If you ask me everyone ASSUMES you don't use the USN 21-22kt BB's for surface combat because that was the historical decision.

In this case we have almost unlimited visibility. Here, New Mexico dishes it out and has a 7,000 yds of closure while firing before the IN CA's open up. Despite taking 22 hits of all caliber she dishes out serious punishment.
All this without full magazines.

The other engagement. Again, Oklahoma has about 5,000 yds of closure with guns firing before the CA's fire back. Nevada misses half the fight. Probably not a good time for the John Wayne movie marathon.

In mine, I managed to ambush KB twice with the old BBs. I couldn't land any real hits in the first, but I claimed Kaga and another to 14" shells in the second.

I did purge naval leadership after the first. The former captains currently still live in their re-education camps.

Nevada waited to get into effective range before opening fire (she was under fire before that) - and did pretty much all the damage...

Oklahoma sank CL Tama, while Nevada sank CA Kinugasa, CA Aoba, and CA Furutaka... then the TF commander (Hickman) ordered the action broken off... if you were going to cashier anyone, Hickman should be the guy since he broke off the winning battle.
