Wasn't that WWII(c) or even WWII(b)?

Also, I always got the idea that Global Cooling was made up in order to sell insulated Quonset huts in which case, there would be no catastrophic sea level fall.

On the other hand, if there was Global Cooling in your "d" timeline but not in my "d" timeline......then....we aren't in the same current <HEAD EXPLODES!>

This is sort of like Jackspeak which I am beginning to sort of understand. "R's" means R class battleships (Revenge,
Resolution, Remoulade that sort of thing).

We need everything we can get in Oz because we will have around 85,000 troops trapped in Melbourne and Sydney in pretty short order and they aren't going to be able to hold on forever. 85K is enough to lose the war. They aren't Chinamen, after all.

I meant in terms of an effect on the AF. Might have been ground support troops, of course, which will impede air activity.

The US torpedoes are so crappy in 42 that in emergency situations the fleet boats can set up a supply chain to get 100 or so supply points per turn, especially if you have a nearby base where they can load up.

Most of the units at Melbourne are there on purpose because we deduced some time ago that Melbourne was a
likely target. The aviation support, Air HQ and even the ground support HQ are valuable as are the engineers.

We are not going to cede air control over Melbourne right away. We do have two understrength serve Australian brigades which mostly lost their infantry. I imagine they can now draw infantry squads from the "Emergency Convoy" in Capetown. That seems the least they can do after bringing us a bunch of Vengeance dive bombers and Mitchell II's that we can't use.

Oz: HMS Jupiter has been patched up at Melbourne. I believe Admiral Lord SPrior created this TF and must have chosen the "Dipped in Magical Waters Like Achilles" setting as you will soon see.

But first, a brush with transports on her exit from Melbourne. It is rumored the IJN are (normally, an American would use "is" here but I just wanted to sound more sophisticated) considering a complaint of racial bias against Jupiter.

JJ invests no less that 40 fighter sorties and 97 medium bombers sorties over Tamworth today. We send B-26's from Port Kembla. JJ drops more paratroops and attacks again. Some of our retreating lads are caught in move mode.

Status: offline 		I took the time to watch the replay. The sweep over Adelaide was from Geelong. It looks like KB is about 200 mi W of Adelaide...in other words headed toward Perth fast.

Also, JJ has landed at Vanikoro, which is the Southernmost of the Santa Cruz Is. A 0(0)port, 0(4)AF dot hex. This could be a seaplane base or they mean to construct an AF. The latter won't work because is only 12 hexes from Tanna, which will support B-25's.
