New Guinea: JJ was unloading some troops near Lae and the transports don't get far away by daylight.

Big air sweeps over Babo and Sorong. Probably a night naval bombardment coming up.

China: Infantry without and antitank weapons arriving at Kwanchowang (or however you spell it) are crushed by a full regiment of Ronsons that just happen to arrive at the same time. 2nd Reserve Div has to cancel dinner reservations. That was a waste of points and Chinamen.

quote:

Ground combat at Kwangchowan (73,60)

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 384 troops, 0 guns, 71 vehicles, Assault Value = 40

Defending force 1148 troops, 7 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 38

Japanese adjusted assault: 34

Allied adjusted defense: 7

Japanese assault odds: 4 to 1 (fort level 1)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Kwangchowan !!!

How can you have 1216 casualties from 1148 troops? Did 68 of them get shot twice, like the Single Bullet Theory?

We dropped 52 LARP guys and gals on Hue yesterday only to find out there is a Vietminh division there. Oops.

Quick, find the one they call "Uncle Ho" and make him some vague promises!

Why is Uncle Ho speaking in Hebrew?

Remember that Uncle Ho was a waiter at the 1919 Paris Peace conference. He picked up a smattering of everything.

Palestine (and the Balfour Declaration) were an important topic during the Paris Peace talks. The Zionist Organization lobbied the decision makers, like everyone else at the talks...

PI: Endless fighter sweeps over Luzon and Mindanao. I hope JJ is losing some good pilots because it is just murder on our fighter inventory. The Tojos are the worst.

You really need to do something about the plane to plane ratio in the air. That should help your losses

You are absolutely correct, of course, but the problem is the pace of operations has consumed a lot of aircraft. Also, there isn't enough ground support in Luzon to repair the planes quickly enough. I might be able to fly in a couple of Air HQ from new Guinea via Mindanao to help. Also there is the Del Monico Aviation unit that was evacuated from the PI sitting in Midway. Might try to ship them back on small AP's. It's worth the losses to grind down whole Jap divisions there.
