M3.4 near NK nuclear test site. China was suspected it is another nuclear test, but South Korean scismologists concluded its a natural cause from previous test:

USS Nimitz (CVN 68) completed its 100,000th aircraft launch from Catapult Two Sept. 25, marking the second time, since the ship’s commissioning in 1975, that that milestone has been achieved.

As expected, many journalists cold-watering Chinese foreign military deployment, not because of the marine camo:

UPDATE: Recent news about PLA in Djibouti is planning to build a naval base as well. PLAN is still has to dock warships at commercial ports:

Forbes has militarily reported China’s first commercial amphibious drone, because of its substantial cargo capacity:

SpaceX’s planned rocketry traveling could be the most brutal way to get passengers to the other side of the planet, with extreme speed no other vehicles IRL could achieve. This may sounds like the biggest trolling attempt to Chinese/Russian aerospace and anti-ballistic defenses, but it also make me rethink some ‘threatening’ technology can be used peacefully.

If rocket transports revolutionize into common method of long distance travel, the efficiency could be more beneficial than airliners:

There is something identical to the underwater ‘fighter’, is the tiny size with some small weapons. The WWII-era Italian SDV has that structure, and many other derivatives tend to arm it with 2 small torps, or becomes a transport for SCUBA-ops. However, smaller means short-legged, and it’s not as fast as a nuclear submarine for chasing. Some powerful jet propulsion could be useful to improve the design.

Meanwhile, an alleged clear photo of J-20 with 2 WS-10 engines conducted maiden flight was emerged right at China’s 68th anniversary day:

Yep, serrated nozzles are clearly visible now, if zoomed in.

Wonder how much it will improve rearward RCS.

Reaper shot down. Video footage.

Interesting read:
http://freebeacon.com/national-security/chinas-secret-military-plan-invade-taiwan-2020/

"Any attempt by the Chinese military to take the island will be difficult and costly, the book says. The island has rough, mountainous terrain that has created a wind tunnel effect in the strait that produces very difficult weather for carrying troop and weapons transports, both air and sea."

Never heard of the wind tunnel effect. Something designers might want to consider.

I read Chinese, and I searched “風洞效應” on Google, none were about PLA invasion but the acuted damage from typhoon. Basically, Taiwan is quite mountainous and if either north or south tailwind sweeping at the island, the coming wind will act like a powerful fan blowing alongside a wall. The closer to the wall/mountain, the stronger of the wind.

But as described, only typhoon-level of strong wind could do that. I doubt PLA will take typhoon as a signal of assault.

Even the post-911 conspiracies lingers, readers are more worried about the tech leak by selling THAAD to Saudi Arabia, even though Russia and China are already developing their own BMDs:

Saudi Arabia is negotiating with Russia on the acquisition of the S-400. Also, the parties signed a contract for the organization of production in Saudi Arabia of Kalashnikov assault rifles, and also signed a memorandum on the purchase and localization of heavy flamethrowing systems TOS-1A, anti-tank missile systems "Kornet-EM" and grenade launchers AGS-30.

Wow, THAAD and S-400... are aliens going to invade them? I mean, there's yet to assume nuke is the imminent danger to Saudi, neither Iran nor Israel have that mood for it.

Speaking of ‘imminent threat’, nothing but ballistic missiles can draw as much attention as nukes do. Recently CCTV has allegedly reported the massive, 30 meter diameter of P-band fixed radar to be stationed and developed on Shandong. It is yet to determine whether P-band is the alternative meaning of UHF, or the short of “Previous Bandwidth”, or K-band.

UPDATE: CCTV does also mentions this P-band version of PAVE PAW is designed for ABM, as Henri suggested:

This news is very likely a bluff, but what if Royal Navy must declare war to NK, and send Queen Elizabeth to immediate service, what kind of aircrafts and loadouts will be used, aside from a full fleet of F-35B that aren’t available yet?

Airgroup wise you can proberly scrape a 12 a/c Squadron from what's in the UK and the USA this includes pilots as well, ASW covered by Merlins and AAW by Sea king AEW or modified Merlin with Crown estate. Also add a Sqn of F-35 from the USMC as they are due for
Embarking in 2019 anyway

According to some sources Qaher family missiles are local modifications of SA-2 missiles. Like Tondar-69 system.

Non-military. Bombardier was charged for CS-series sales dump by Boeing in May 2017 has a twist behind them: it was China’s involvement to Canadian aerospace industries.

Many comments feared of Boeing may eat Bombardier to curb narrow-body aircraft competitons. But after this article comes out, their opinions turned in full-opposite as they glad to see Boeing stands up to COMAC with protectionism:

Trump went ballistic to NBC with “fake news” accusations on Twitter. Interestingly, Ars fault him for his ambitious nuclear rearmament, but ZH backed him as NBC failed to deliver serious messages of NK nuclear threats to the world:
