July/August 1941. Allied #1. Reorg. Gort.

Gort was used to reorganize 1 of the RAF strategic bombers. Provide there's still no opposition and the weather remains fine, RAF bomber command plans to continue to pound targets in Germany.

July/August 1941. Allied #1. Nazi-Soviet Pact.

The Soviets use 2 of the 6 land moves to move Koniev and a GD mech army in position to add 3 more to their garrison value, which increases by 6 to 15 the deficient that the Germans need to overcome in order to break the pact this turn. Also, the Soviets have a 6-6 armor army in Pkov that it will move in position next impulse to future increase their garrison by 2 and the German deficient by 4.

July/August 1941. Axis #2.

The German and Italian players concede citing two reasons. The first is the inability of the Germans to be able to break the Nazi-Soviet pact even through they've stripped everything and more that they dare from the West. In fact, they've left their cities opened to RAF strategic bombing at will. The second is the disaster that's starting to develop in North Africa and that's been going on for a while in the Balkans. The whole Balkans thing, and especially Greece, has been misplayed by me from the very beginning.

Breaking the Nazi-Soviet Pact Optional Rule.

If this game was being played with the "Breaking the Nazi-Soviet pact" optional rule then the Germans would now have the necessary garrison value to break the pact. In fact they would be able to break the pact with a margin of 23.5 units meaning that they could break the pact and still be seriously contesting the RAF strategic bombing missions. Also they the Germans would have more land forces for the West and Balkans. Even with this optional rule, the Germans wouldn't have been able to break the pact until this turn. But that, I believe is much more historical than how the Germans are playing now (especially leaving no fighters in the West to protect German industry). So for me, playing with this optional rule is a must from here on.

AAR Concluded.

This concludes my AAR. I will definitely take the lessons I've learned and apply them to my next (soon to be started) game. However, I'm going to take a break from doing AAR's and just play the game. But, I do plan to post from time to time with questions if that's ok ...

I wish to thank everyone who followed this AAR and especially to those of you who've provided invaluable advice and insight on how to better play this game. I hope to continue to tap that resource as I continue to play and try to learn this wonderful game. Thanks again ...
