And since I am such a nice guy, I decide to encircle the troops north of the breakthrough.

Yeah, a single 3 CV tank corps from outside wasn't going to cut it against a 7=14 infantry div, even with the supporting units from the inside.

well done, that is going to take him some sorting out with lots of long term consequences - not least the volume of damage you've just done to the Luftwaffe

The damage to the German airforce was massive for early 1942---Im guessing after all the combat he had alot of damaged planes you just rolled up on the ground with your breakthrough tank corps....it will open up many of those tank corps to encirclement tho, be interesting to see Peltons response.

I just figured out that this report is only showing 10 more recon kills. The 40 total includes the 30 from my prior end turn.

This applies for all plane types.

I had thought it was just the totals from the German half turn.

He reseals the main pocket

I never noticed that thing you pointed out with the airplanes. Odd. Anyway, that could have gone worse. How many guys are in the pocket?

I think all infantry. They are fodder for grand plan.

I attack here to keep Jerry from river line. I worry about at axis attack toward the south east.

This was a second attack on German tanks.

80 ART lost for the Germans in this loss. They retreated from clear hex into a mud hex.
Would that result in extra retreat damage? mud v clear retreat?
