On a 1, the intercept succeeds. The CW elect to stay in the 3-box. 7 CA from Alexandria to Italian Coast 4-box. Various escort and CP moves. Trans loads Manchester Mil at Liverpool and sails to West Med. On an 8, the interception fails and the Trans sails into Bone. Trans from Gib picks up Glasgow Mil into Biscay 1-box. Queens sail from Gib to Biscay 4-box and load Mot from Liverpool.

US starts recalling unused CP's in the Pacific.

CW initiates combat in West Med. No additional air is flown. Italy can fly two Ftr's to the 0-box. Macchi at Leghorn or CR.42 NE of La Spezia. Do they wish to?

To move this on, I'm going to assume no.

Searches Allies 2, Axis 5. Both find. Only 1 surprise point to Allies. Naval air combat chosen.

The Nimrods use all their fuel and ammo destroying the Italian Nav and are forced to land back at their CV. Allies stay. Do the Axis wish to continue?

Axis stay and Axis fighters don't fly. If aborted, to La Spezia please.

I think Mayhemizer would continue. He doesn't usually refuse the challenge, particularly where there's the potential of a nice juicy CV.

Search rolls of Allies 2 and Axis 8. Naval air combat chosen and 5 surprise points used to increase CW A2A by +1 and reduce Axis by -1.

The first round sees the aircraft circling around each other to no great effect. However, the CW pilots gradually work themselves into a good position and finish off the German Nav.

USSR rails a Mil from the interior to Vilna.

USSR Cav disorganises itself by moving but opens up the Trans Manchurian railway for supply to the Soviets. The Soviets advance on Harbin.

The Nationalists put a few Jap units OOS for the time being.

The French make some minor adjustments. The end is nigh.

No land combat.

USSR rebases a plane in Manchuria into Tsitsihar.

CW sends A-22 to Bone and rebases a CVP.

No reorgs.

Weather roll was an 8.

J/F 40 Axis 5

No DoW

Germany and Japan land, Italy combined.

Italy sends CP and 2x CL loaded with 2x Inf div to West Med box 0. Fingers are crossed...

Italy declines combat. I think CW might want to fight and I will initiate combat to move on as AllenK is offline.

CL in box 0 initiates combat. Italy brings 4 factor fighter to box 0.

I don't think CW want to fly Hampden or A-22 (can be redone if they want).

Allied 3, Axis 2 (2 surprise points for CW). This is bad, but not as bad as it would be with 10 points or no Italian fighter...

If CW don't choose naval air combat, Italy will.

Did I choose right when I initiated combat and did not bring more bombers?
Which planes planes fly as fighter and bomber?
Which plane is front fighter/bomber?
How do CW use their 2 points?

Choices were good.

Fly Nimrod and the 2-2 Swordfish as fighters, other two as bombers. 2 surprise used to reduce Axis A2A value.

Not sure quite what happened but I would have tried to intercept, which would have forced them to either stop or try and fight through.

One CL is aborted but another survives on a roll 10. Italy leaves the West Med and one CL aborts to Tunis. Mission is partial success, one 2 inf divs more in Africa. Though it costed 3 BB's.

Edit: CW stays in West Med?

Edit2: Does in matter how planes land to CV's?

Land Nimrod on Argus and the two 1 class Swordfish on Furious thanks. CW stays.

CP sinks.
1st CL rolls 5 and is aborted.
2nd CL (the only option at tihs point) rolls 10 and is 1/2 aborted.

I should have wrote earlier CP result also.

Edit: Just realized that both Inf divs survived to African shore. Edited to post above.

Thanks. I realised that was the result after I posted above update. Just curious, with one CL on an abort and the other aborted to end the combat, how come both couldn't go to Tunis?

Edit: they did.

I confused myself when I was typing earlier.

It turned out that aborted ship can choose the port where it aborts One week pause from this game was too much for me...

Japan rails AA gun to Changchun.

2 Italian units advances a hex in France.

Japanese troops leave Harbin empty. I calculated USSR would get some +11-12 attack during snow and much better next impulse. I rather keep Harbin MIL for the future.

Japan debarks AT gun to Vladivostok, MIL to Korea and MIL to Hangchow.

Japan attacks surrounded Cav in mountains and Germany hex with 2 units adjacent to Paris. Italians show mercy and refuses to attacks.

Do France want to use Defending HQ support? Current odds are +11,750B. Germany has no attacking HQ's but there is one winterized unit that can choose to give +1.

Do China choose assault? Current odds are +3,667 but Japan will use Attacking HQ support and final odds will be +5,667.
