Status: offline 		I think I have 4 surprise points. If so, use 2 to reduce losses to NE and 2 to increase damage to a D (I think).

If it doesn't work out like that, let me know.

German units few hexes.

No land combat in blizzard.

Japan debarks MIL and INF to Seoul.

Germany rebases He111 from Germany to northern front, Stuka to front line in south and Bf110 to front line near Moscow.

Italy rebases FTR to Chisinau and FTR to southern Germany.

Japan rebases NAV to Sasebo.

Back to Allies.

CW adds Polish units to Force Pool.

CW & France Naval. USSR & China, Land. US, Combined.

US sends a CV plus 2 CA to North Atlantic 0-box. CW sends out the routine escorts.

USSR rails another factory east from Moscow.

USSR and China make some minor land moves.

Map of China and Korea following moves.

Status: offline 		USSR rebases a Ftr-2 and Lnd-3 away from the vacated Wonsan. CW rebases a couple of CVP's at Gib and Nav-4 to Plymouth.

No reorgs.

Weather is about as bad as it can get.

Status: offline 		These weather rolls are killing Germany's plans. I have been waiting for a snow to arctic to take Leningrad. It would be +8 (+possible bonuses from flipped units, 6 1's from Italian planes and German artillery on both corps in Leningrad).

I think I try to take Leningrad with risk (+6).

Italy declares war on USSR. On a 9 US ignores.

Japan and Italy combined, Germany land.

Japanese Trans with MIL sails to Vladivostok. CP goes to South China Sea.

Germany rails Rommel to Tula, INF div to France and INF to Bulgaria.

Japanese units in Korea swap places.

Germany prepares to attack in southern front and Leningrad area.

Italy moves INF div to Estonia, Tallinn is not taken and unit is disorganized.

Germany declares attacks in Leningrad and in hex south east from Rostov in southern front. Attacking HQ support is used in both attacks.

Attack in south is successful.

If both use winterized units final odds will be +6.

Edit: I almost regret doing this attack, but I really want to take Leningrad... It would have been so much easier without blizzard...

Status: offline 		Call me the lucky one! Leningrad falls with the lowest possible roll! I had 36% chance to take it in blizzard.

Rules question: I have to destroy 2 units. I already destroyed ENG unit first but second unit can be anyone, not the other ENG. Correct?

Edit: 3 ships and 2 subs are overrun and destroyed.

Status: offline 		RAC says "If an ENG provides any benefits in an attack, it always suffers the first loss (even before elite units attacking in winter)." My reading of that would be if two Eng units provide benefits and there are two losses, then both Eng would have to be destroyed.

Status: offline 		"First loss" with winterized units and ARM only means the first loss, not all losses.

Before first loss text was: "Axis must destroy 2 more units (with an ENG unit 1st)..."

Combat engineers

They also provide this benefit to land units with which they are stacked, but only as many as the engineer unit’s combat value. For example, an engineer with a combat strength of 1 can help only 1 additional unit.

Both engineers provided benefits only to one unit and I destroyed my better ENG

Edit: Using benefits for another MTN also would have given me fractional odds 0,864.

Italy rebases FTR to Rostov area and two bombers from Latvia to northern and southern fronts.

Germany uses AMPH in Baltic Sea to reorganize INF in Leningrad.

J/F 41 Allies 10

No DoW

USSR & China, Land. US & CW Combined. France Pass.

US puts a CV and 2 CL to North Atlantic 1-box. CW sends 2 empty CV back to Liverpool. 2 BB from Liverpool to Plymouth (I'd returned them to the wrong port! Signals mix up in the Admiralty).

USSR rails factory from Gorki eastwards.

The Communists continue to concentrate their forces in China.

Status: offline 		The Soviets messed up in Southern Russia when they forgot Rostov would get the terrain bonus for marsh in snow/blizzard. I should have abandoned it and pulled back across the river. They do their best but it's looking precarious. No movement in the north.

All choose naval.

Naval move:
Japan sends Trans loaded with MAR from Vladivostok to Hanoi.
CP to Bismarck Sea.
CV's, BB's and escorts to Sea of Japan and China Sea.

Germany sends Finnish ships Ilmarinen and Väinämöinen to North Sea box 2 to try their luck.
Sub from Kiel sails to Faroes Gap box 0, just to rebase to France (No combat).
4 German subs from France spreads to 4 different sea areas.

Vichy France sends 5xCP and Trans from Africa to West Med.

Italy sends CL to Italian Coast box 4.

Axis initiates combat everywhere else but East Coast (I realized sub can't find anything in storm from box 1).
