2 CW CL's finds Italian submarine. CW takes 2A, Italy takes A. CW rolls 6 and 4, Italy rolls 1. All of them are aborted. CW ships sails to Plymouth?

If you choose surface, options are:

1) CW takes A and Italy takes X
2) CW takes NE and Italy takes 2D A

I mean if you use 4 points to choose surface combat. It will do the job.

No, I'm not spending surprise points to choose combat type. Decline air combat, which should give Italy the chance of accepting sub combat. If Italy wishes to do so, then let me see the options. If not, it should then go to surface combat, at which point I would also like to see the options.

True, that gives you much better options. Italy chooses submarine combat and options are:

1) CW takes NE and Italy takes X 2D
2) CW takes A and Italy takes 2X

Allied ships take 2A rolling 10 and 10, no aborts.

Both Italian subs are damaged.

Italian Coast is declined.

Bay of Bengal: Axis 1, Allied 2. Japan uses 2 points to reduce damage.

CW BB is damaged and aborted. Japanese CL takes 2A rolling 10 and 5. Not it is safe(r) to assault Singapore.

After those two CW/Japan naval combats, do you want to initiate combat in South China Sea where Japan has Trans with MIL and some planes covering them?
