Wait, I thought we were going with "The Trifecta of Failure"? Ah, whatever. I took a look at the Tojo and Oscar, and the latter boasts better manuverability at low altitudes. I'll double-check it against the manuver ratings of the likes of the P-40 and Spitfire/Hurricane, and if ours is superior then perhaps we should give them "the Dive" in return for an edge in a turning fight. Whichever way we go, I'd sleep easier if we had the Nate phased out by the time good Allied fighters show up en masse. Just looked it up: while the Tojo is better armed, the Oscar has an extra hex of operational range and is much more manuverable, particularly below 15k, to the point where it csn probably fly circles around a Warhawk. As for Lashio, I was scanning around the LCUs, and the 1st Raiding Regiment caught my eye. It's really more of a BN, but they have a dedicated transport sentai with them, and if we ship the two into Bangkok I can make the jump from there. And going for Colombo off the bat, huh? That's ballsy. I'll have to look through the reinforcement list, but I expect any amphib TF to face opposition from Hermes' Swordfish and a ground-based squadron plus any TBs he salvages from Hong Kong/Malaya and a pile of Blenhiems/Wirraways escorted by the AVG the moment he finds out what we're doing, not to mention the RN surface fleet, to include Repulse and PoW if we don't get them on the 7th. If we're going to attempt this I suggest commiting 3 CVs minimum, 4 preferable, full KB probably not needed but wouldn't hurt if they have nothing else to do, along with multiple CA/BB TFs to sweep the harbor and blockade the harbors, possibly also hitting ports up the coast of India to shut down relief efforts. The AVG starts with damned good pilots, but if we can swarm them with Zeroes then we may be able to kill off some of their best pilots before they turn into quadruple aces.
