Let T2_2112 assemble the cards if he`s willing to. As I remember he did a good job assembling the previous lot. Btw, rezaf`s tool also works with animations now so you can find out the animation offsets without testing the unit in game for long periods of time: http://slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=33526&sid=e7c6385f07f16981a47cba7455a71577 I`ve used it too lately. It makes editing the efx.pzdat alot quicker and easier than it used to be. The new feature`s release has gone somewhat unnoticed or at least not sufficiently acclaimed, but even though it still has a few shortcomings, for a project like this with tones of new units, that animations feature is outstanding. quote:
Here are all the planes, from the fact that send H.Balck That has some of the aircraft for which only one side render was released and with the old ground template. If I understand correctly all of those will be reworked. I think you should ask H.Balck to send a pack with all the aircraft files that he considers complete. There have been several styles and releases so far so it`s important that T2_2112 has the latest versions so he doesn`t have to redo any work later. I want to point out that the soviet mortar unit only contains the bigunits/info card and no renders for the battle card. About the HQ units. Which are the transports for them? Also, let me just say that starting something by redoing stuff that already exists does not make sense to me. I understand for example that you need a few specialized units (like the recon planes) for that Crimea scenario and can see why they`re being done, but things like the Ju-87, Il-2, Il-4 and others already exist. On the other hand, the Netherlands, Finland, Slovakia and Bulgaria have no airforce whatsoever. For Belgium, Romania and Hungary bebro only made one aircraft for each. The Italian Bersaglieri, some of the Italian artillery and all of the antiaircraft guns go to Stalingrad in desert camo and in shorts. Conversely, in the desert, some of the Italian units only have European camo versions. I think it`s important that we have at least one of the two sets complete and I think that the European line is the most appropriate for both. Most of the German units have no desert camo version and many of the German elite units do not have distinctive graphics, even though they had them in vanilla PzC. In that regard it`s a step back. I think that half of the German captured units (mostly the ones of soviet origin) are still sporting the vanilla PzC graphics. A dozen soviet units and two dozen German units (released with the Allied General pack) do not have info cards to match their new aspect and instead you can see the vanilla PzC info cards for them. They`ve been like this for a couple years now. I think I posted a list with these units and I can repost it if there`s any interest. The most annoying part regarding the missing cards is that people think they`re bugs and report them as such. EDIT: here it is: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=3801287 For a total conversion, replacing the vanilla graphics is very much the first goal. In my opinion, until they are replaced and until key units that were missing in vanilla are made, reworking existing stuff should be the exception, not a frequent event. The Polish units for example have been redone at least 5 times already. I like Poland and have made a scenario for it, but I can only think that we could have used some of that effort (many dozens of units) to make units that we don`t have at all currently.
