If Tigers on the Hunt gives me 90% of what ASL was, and none of the bulk, and is destined to be just me sitting here yet again without a human opponent I will be as happy with Tigers on the Hunt as I was with ASL.

I feel it will do this for you. Beta testing brought me back to the '70's board gaming feel I really enjoy HPS Squad Battles WWII titles, but this game just feels like a time machine!

I've on a few occasions pondered hunting down a copy of Squad Leader and just playing it. Because 90% of my playing of SL/ASL was playing Squad Leader actually. And it was because it was simpler and easier to play.

Agree!

I just picked up Squad Battles Red Victory while I wait for this game to show up. Now I need to find me some MODS for SB Red Victory.

My hopes are a Red Barricades ASL campaign transformed into this format against a decent AI that lets me play when I want.

I also would like any balanced campaign where you can buy reinforcements groups and keep your forces between days.

I think I will take a pass on this one...all hope is lost ("hope for this game").

Likewise, to be honest. Haven't been following this one too closely, but as it was supposed to attract the ASL crowd (?), I would have thought reasonably hassle-free multiplayer in some form was essential.

I was stuuuuupidly hoping this game might be in the 40ish dollar range.

80 bucks!!

Yeah I have bought all of Gary's creations. I even bought World in Flames with the books.

Then my marriage died and the gravy train was kinda wiped out in a TAC strike (I'm amazed I can laugh some days).

Even if this game is a dream come true though. I think I'm pretty much going to be left either begging for it for my birthday (good luck on that), or going off to sulk until this title eventually ends up on the predictable 2 years from now sale option.

On my own, this one will take me till about next fall to save up for (alas I have other things that insist I buy them too).

I think this game is going to be what I wanted it to be, but I don't think it's going to matter for a while for me.

I've had to walk away from a lot of models and some really nice dresses in the last couple of years as well.

Exlains why I buy em more than I play em.

Scared the heck outta me!
I saw $49.99 this morning!
Thought they jacked the price to $80.00 after a 5 hour window!
