snow is now 2 feet deep.

Silly opens trapping an army worth of troops, most from Galitsky's 26th Army

Nera Moscow. I actually, finally, hold a battle. Here the top battle near Moscow, with low fort value.

It keeps open rr to escaping troops.

Silly does take the 3rd battle below hex. I may be out of the cauldron before he gets the rr.

More Moscow counterattacks.

This Freesner German general has been a pain.

Not today though

West Penza

600 German casualties in a massive Russian attack.

Are they a little wimpy or just the greatest retreaters ever?

Sensing weakness and thin lines, I surround a German Inf division and attempt to move him one hex ne. I fail but have chance it wont be rescued.

I sent my 2nd tank army back to this area from Penza area where they were moved only 3 turns ago. Will use next turn to exploit.

I expect a small german retreat from this far east area next turn.

I use shell units to hold up the fort levels which are behind the new front line.

Left side of my "north of Saratov' pincer. His mountain division is on a rough hex and will not be moved unless whole position flanked.

East positions.

Directive. Continue to pressure until German armor comes back to help.

Middle area

I accidentally leave a tank corp in position top be captured.

It was, totally, one of those accidental 'it moved by itself' moves.

My guess is his tanks will now head directly north.
(unless he thinks he can still do a large capture of the retreating troops)

Final Moscow. rr should stay open next turn.

I forgot to take end of 1942 OOB and KIA reports. I have over 8 million lost.

Silly has been much better than me at the localized level.

rr cut. All these troops are in danger.

So you are saying that SillyFlowers Operational sense in the "Three Levels of War"(strategic/operational/tactical) is really good ;)

He has not had any pressure on his tank this whole war.

He's always a few turns ahead and his positioning is always tight or well enough that he cannot get hurt.

HE MUST BE DISTROYED!

My play has been average thus his high marks have to be adjusted.

I really hacked my way around here this turn. Nothing solid. brute force, maneuver was shunned.

It all felt rather blah

North Saratov

I line this up to take the rough hex from the german mountain unit.
It will be a close one.

May the 'Brute force ' be with me.

Now I start on 'how to stop' germans from capturing all the troops in the bulge.

I will rr in 2 very strong corp. Very nice maneuver as rr line east of Moscow still open

They could maybe also get trapped.

But has to be done. He will have issues with hasty attacks.

I will try and pack in area. The 2 forest hexes are key plus the rr line.

The main area

He had again long mp but it seems to be no hindrance to him.

I am thus very concerned and have done my best to try and get some relief here.

Dam I again forgot d values

Are you ground bombing him after you get him out of his entrenchments?

seems useless now. Even my night bombers are not as good although it is blizzard.
Plus I am limiting my day bombers as trucks situation not good.

He seems unstoppable. If he had better weather he would be in Japan by now.

Well. He does not go north. He goes straight west and wedges all space between my guard reinforcement area and south.

Another army full will be trapped.

He also ran some tanks west by rr and they tried a pincer. Lucky, I should resupply at least for one more turn.

They rest better escape. Stalin is getting a little hot under the color. Red hot.
