Dacha
03/10/1943, Dergatschi, North of Kharkov, Ukraine.
Just a few short weeks ago we(LSSAH) were retreating from Kharkov and the Bolshevik hordes. Now the tables have turned. If we can move fast enough, Kharkov can be captured with a coup de main. We are close now, and only the town of Dergatschi stands between our forces and the goal.
It is hard to say what is out there. This battle is so fluid that we have run into supply columns and armored units within minutes of each other. Smoke has been rising from the nearby Dacha; it is occupied, but by whom?

A Ranger Challenge
06/06/1944, D-Day.
The 5th Ranger Battalion was activated on 1 September 1943 at Camp Forrest, Tennessee. During the Battle of Normandy, the
battalion landed on Omaha Beach along with companies A, B and C of the 2nd Ranger Battalion, where elements of the 116th
Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division were pinned down by murderous machinegun fire and mortars from the heights above. It was
there that the situation was so critical that General Omar Bradley was seriously considering abandoning the beachhead, instead
of sending more men to die. And it was then and there that General Norman Cota, Assistant Division Commander of the 29th
Infantry Division, gave the now famous order that has become the motto of the 75th Ranger Regiment: "Rangers, Lead The Way!".
The 5th Battalion Rangers broke across the sea wall and barbed wire entanglements, and up the pillbox-rimmed heights under
intense enemy machine-gun and mortar fire and with A and B Companies of the 2nd Battalion and some elements of the 116th
Infantry Regiment, advanced four miles (6 km) to the key town of Vierville-sur-Mer, thus opening the breach for supporting
troops to follow up and expand the beachhead.

Dergatschi Roadblock
03/10/1943, Dergatschi, North of Kharkov, Ukraine.
March 1943: After relinquishing the city in February, the SS Panzer Korps counterattacked and drove on Kharkov from the north.
About 10 km from the outskirts of Kharkov lay the town of Dergatschi, the last major barrier short of the city itself. Soviet
forces hastily dug in here, in a desperate attempt to forestall the SS spearhead(LSSAH).

CHANNEL COAST, February 28th 1942: At Bruneval, north of Le Havre, the Germans had installed an example of the Wurzburg radar
system for air defense. British paratroopers were to drop into France, steal as much of the equipment as possible and bring it

The Streets Of Kharkov
Kharkov, Russia 1943-03-13.
The Russians captured Kharkov in mid-February, and Hitler himself immediately ordered a counter-offensive to regain the city.
Von Manstein put together the plan that would use the 1st SS Panzer Korps as the spearhead in the assault. Circling around the
perimeter of the city for more than a week, the SS troops fought skirmishes in many villages in the suburbs around the city.
Then in the second week of March, Lieutenant General Paul Hausser, commander of the SS-Panzer Korps, went with his gut
instincts and delivered the ‘Backhand Blow’, crashing into the city from the north and west.

August 1941, Main highway from Narwa to Riga: Army Group North was engaged in a fierce fight for Estonia. The goal--cut off the
Red Army forces in Estonia by reaching the baltic Sea east of Riga. Stavka recognised the danger and desperately tried to
stabilise its ruptured front. The German 18th Army would have none of it, and relentlessly pushed on in the face of
diminishing resistance. Local counterattacks, trying to check the overextended German advance guards were still a danger.

High Danger
HISTORICAL ACCOUNT
LOCATION: 10 miles west of El Alamein
DATE: 31 October 1943
COMMENTARY: As the 9th Australian Division advanced westwards, a German-held salient in the north projected into their lines.
To hold Rommel’s attention, it was decided that the division would advance nothwards to the sea to pinch out the salient. After
heavy fighting, they were stopped just short of the coast, leaving a narrow tapering salient running north to south. At 1230
hours, elements of the 21st Panzer Division attacked, hoping to eliminate the threat. Advance elements of the 21st Panzer
Division soon overran B Company of the 2/32nd Battalion, destroying it as a fighting force, but then Valentines from the 40th
Royal Tank Regiment intervened, hoping to stop the slaughter. By days end, the 40th RTR had driven the 21st Panzer Division
from the field, but had lost 25 tanks in the porcess. October 31st 1942 is recalled by those who survived it as a day of
"High Danger".

Holtzwihr, France 1945-01-26.
2LT Audie L. Murphy began his first day in command of B Company in the Reidwehr woods. During the night his thirty-two man
company was reinforced with two M-10 tank destroyers and given orders to hold his position at the bottom of a "U" shaped patch
of woods that faced the village of Holtzwihr, from which he could hear the sounds of German tanks and infantry assembling. At
1400, the Germans stormed out of Holzwihr with 250 infantrymen clad in white snow capes, supported by six tanks. Both M-10s
were almost immediately knocked out. Murphy ordered his men to pull back, while he remained forward with his field phone to

A bit busy after New Years, so had some serious downloading to do. Those scenarios just keep on coming.

It's probably impossible to run out of material for WW2 in a lifetime. Arguably, the most momentous (and tragic) event the world has yet to see. I'd see if MultiMan is interested in the set and make some money

May Day!
May-sur-Orne, France 1944-07-25.
Within the framework of Operation Spring, the Black Watch received the command to seize May-Sur-Orne where the Calgary
Highlanders had just suffered a bloody failure. The attack started badly. The gathering zone located at St. Martin was not
secure and during the mopping up operation, the Black Watch lost its leader, Colonel Canthe. The command fell to Major Griffin
who, while waiting for the design of a new attack plan, sent six men and a sergeant on reconnaissance. Upon its return, the
patrol stated that they did not meet any Germans. The capture of the village being considered essential, Major Griffin then
decided to go right at May-Sur-Orne. And went right into a true flood of fire from camouflaged SS in the village.

Thanks Rico, but no joy. Here's the "Paul Harvey" on my issue:

- Not played in a while, saw the new update for 1.0.82 so I uninstalled my ToTH and DL'ed the CORE and updates from "my games". All installed well and "help" shows correct version of 1.0.82 and all included scenarios I have tried worked fine.

- DLed your above scenarios and noted the error.

- DLed the link you just provided and when installing 1.0.82 I was prompted it already existed. Went ahead and installed again and still see same error.

Now I will try and uninstall all of ToTH making sure to delete the ToTH folder as well. Did not delete original ToTH folder initially, so maybe something related to old install. So once more unto the breach......

So I "uninstalled" ToTH from WIN7 control_panel->programs_features which reported that ToTH was successfully uninstalled. I then checked and found that the files in the ToTH folder were still present, all of them! Deleted the folder and did fresh install and update and now there is much joy throughout the land. Thanks for your help and all the scenarios you have authored.

BEHIND THE BARRIKADY, 26 October l942. A patrol of Jaeger Division 100 managed to reach the west bank of the Volga behind the
Barrikady following a saturation bombardment of the Russian positions. The Germans soon found themselves cut off from their
compatriots as Red Army soldiers re-emerged from their rubble hideouts after allowing the German detachment to pass. Standing
on the high banks of the mighty river, the Germans found they now had the Russians behind them and were cut off. With darkness
fast approaching, the Jaegers'prelicament became critical-for the Russians ruled the night in Stalingrad. Meanwhile back in the
factory complex, Lt. Wilhelm Kreiser received orders to break through to his stranded companions before their rescue became
impossible.

The Last Bid
THE BARRIKADY, 11 November l942. Hoping that one last great push might be enough to finally shatter all organized resistance in
the city, German assault troops prepared for a final onslaught. In the meantime, fresh Pioniere battalions specially trained in
urban warfare were flown in, to be supported by a dozen experimental assault guns boasting a 150mm gun. Each frontline German
division formed a Sturmkompanie comprised of 150 select men heavily-laden with automatic weapons. The Russians, discerning the
Germans’ intentions, busily braced for the expected encounter, turning every pile of rubble and blasted building they still
held into a formidable fortress. On 11 November, daybreak came early at 0300 hours as a heavy fusillade of German artillery
shells lit up the night, to open the final bid to capture Stalingrad.- - - - -It's big. Possibly the biggest single scenario in
the system. Initially 80 or so Russian squads hold off around a similar number of German elite and first line squads. There's
OBA, trenches, pillboxes over the entire RB Map. Oh and 21 turns for the Germans to control a whole host of buildings and a
couple of factories.

The Last Bid II
THE BARRIKADY, 12 November l942. Situation: the original scenario favors the Germans who, well led, can win the victory before
time runs out.
This giant scenario deserves specific treatment.
The idea is to create a second scenario in extension of the first in which, the next morning, the losses on each side would be
about 50% with a German advance towards the Volga and a Soviet defense still solid.
The reinforcements of the original scenario come into play to decide the fate of the battle.

Turned Away
Southeast of the Barrikady, Stalingrad, USSR 1942-11-15.
Despite failing to achieve its main objective, Operation Hubertus had severely mauled the remaining Soviet formations. One of
these, the redoubtable 138th Rifle Division, now found itself isolated along the Volga on a 400m x 700m strip of land. Of its
remaining regiments, the 650th had but 31 survivors, while the 344th could muster only 123. Daily, the Russians were becoming
more cut off, for with the river freezing over, the nightly ferries had to navigate the treacherous ice flows. Still, the
troops managed to steadfastly hold on to what little they had, weathering the many crises. One of these occurred when an
assault detachment of some 70 Germans armed with machine pistols attack their thin lines.
