I had a very focused game plan for the Germans. On the first turn I take all the victory hexes I can reach, which is Gafsa (freebie), Sdid Bouzid and Kasserine. Then I hold on to them for as long as I can for victory. At the start of the game, the Germans have an astounding 35 admin points. I spent most of these on the first turn, by disbanding Afr. German-Italian Pz Army. This pushes all of it's support units into OKW, along with attaching the Africa Panzer Corps to OKW. I then attach Hermann Balck to Afrika Pazner Corps for 11 points. Cheaper since the corp is attached directly to OKW. I build a depot and an airfield in Maknassy in the south, move all the Luftwaffe to the south, along with all the movable AA guns. Any that cant be moved (static) are disbanded. No Freebies for the allies if they break through in the north. This still leaves me with about a dozen admin points. I also noticed that destroying airplanes is a great source of vps...at 1 vp per 5 aircraft destroyed. (You also get 1vp/10afvs, 1vp/100 guns, and 1vp/1000 men). So I will fly superiority missions, air transport missions...anything that will get my superior fighters to engage and shoot down allied planes. I lack bombers, so bombing airfields won't work.
