Bizarre and thanks. I wonder whether if you play through to reinforcements, the factory will now get repaired?

I doubt it since I done it from two other autosaves. *sigh* But I'll do it from this one as well to make sure. Onwards and upwards as a wise person once said.

No change for the Chinese factory. It still remains unrepaired.

It was a forlorn hope.

Save the auto-save from just before reinforcements. If the factory problem gets fixed it would be possible to pick the game back up from there.

The test run I did now is not fit to use for continuing our game.

So how we proceed, I think, depends on how the factory will be handled. The fighter, I hope, someone skilled can use the 'debug' feature to organize.

So, out of four games, only Game 2 appears to be free of problems for the moment.

Game 1 - Can't manually route convoys, factory not repaired and unit not showing on the Use Oil list when it should have and now not reorganised.

Games 3 and 4 can't get beyond CW setup due to MadEx's.

This is not a good advertisement for the state of the game.

And game 2 might hit trouble with CW resource routing once that is attempted. I do not think it is tested after the update.

Hence the "for the moment".

Let's not forget, there were problems with convoy routing in the earlier version too, although not as fatal as now.

In game 4 I saved just before MadEx. Can we continue using my save or should I take previous save and redo CW set up without using Production Planning?

If you open the game you saved just before the MadEx and try and continue, what happens? Do you get the MadEx?

I think avoiding Production Planning for now is just postponing things. At some point you are going to need to go into it.

Or it could be that the production planning MadEx is tied to the setup stage and, if we, for once, has a lucky break, the MadEx will not appear if PP is used during the regular game.

Sorry, my misunderstanding. I read your "for the moment" as 'until the issues are fixed'.

End of Turn

For some obscure reason the US forces has been building up in UK.

Maybe someone read a tourist brochure advertising "sunny beaches"?

End of Turn

Somehow US Naval forces has been diverted to the Mediterranean.

This is actually a good idea. Because of action limits, it is always nice to some naval units from all three naval powers to cover an emergency somewhere. For example, the French ships have been used, the Med needs to be covered, but the CW has to reinforce the Spanish beachhead after a German attack kills some units. At that point, having some US units in the Med is useful.

I reloaded and continued without any problems. That is the save I sent to everyone.

I saved before clicking continue. When I clickek it I got MadEx.

Gents,

I have a poker tournament to win today and after that I go listen my friend's band (to an Irish pub). I don't think I'm capable leading any armies today

I know it is a bit late but the world is still wondering how the tournament went. Or at least I am wondering.

It was a tournament. I was not able to loose much, even if I played like an untrained monkey

Thanks. We are not necessarily done with it yet. It all depends on whether Steve can make some proper progress with some of the current issues - particularly the convoy stuff which is really causing problems at present.

Updated to version 2.5.5 and I just begun to redo the end of turn orders. I expect this to take a while since I forgotten almost everything that was done. It will take a while to even find the orders.

Apologies. The saved oil at Batavia and then the Palembang => Batavia resources, thanks.

I had forgotten this change as I did the end of turn.

I am sorry about that.

End of turn now complete and the action can resume. Baring that I made some major mistake.

I did several minor mistakes. Mostly Allied ships returning to the wrong ports. But should be good enough.

Save will be mailed shortly.

Note that there are now some changes from the end of turn pictures. they are not going to be replaced.

M/A 42 Axis 1

No DoW or alignments.

Germany and Italy combined. Japan land.

Italy sends FTR to St Vincent 2-box. Germany sends FW190 and Bf110 to BoB 2-box.

TRS and AMPH to Baltic Sea box 3. MAR loaded on TRS and strongest 4 moving INF on AMPH.

Italy sends 2 subs from La Spezia to St Vincent 2-box.

First up, St Vincent.

The FTR initiates and the Italian NAV joins it in the 2-box.

Do the Allies wish to fly anything to the zone? Beaufighter can make up to the 2-box. The rest, the 1-box.

Italians commit subs.

Searches: Axis 2, Allies 1. Both find.

Italians pick naval air combat.

Do the CW wish to abort the FTR or NAV?

Round 1 didn't go well for the Axis and, bereft of fighter cover, the Italians decide not to go for round 2. Not looking good for the subs.
