The Japanese attack continues the tradition of low combat rolls.

I thought this was a classic example of dice Karma + MWiF coding. The Japanese flip this isolated unit on a lucky ground strike. But then the unit re-organizes because there is no Isolated Re-Org optional in MWiF. So the Japanese flip it again on another lucky ground strike. But then the Chinese get their fair share of luck....can you throw digital dice into the ocean? That might get expensive.

M/J 40 Axis 8

No DoW or alignments.

Germany & Japan Land. Italy Combined.

Italians load 2 Trans with Arm HQ and Mot and head into the West Med, escorted by 2 CA. Does the French sub wish to intercept?

On a 9, the intercept fails but the Trans decide to stay put anyway and settle in the 2-box.

The Italians decline combat. Does the sub want to have a go?

Edit: Wrong picture.

The Italians don't add any air support.

Blenheim can make the 3-box. All the others, the 1-box. Any scrambles?

I commit the French sub, otherwise there would be no combat.

Searches: Allied 3, Axis 10.

Which sea boxes would the French like to include? Any surprise points used to select combat and if so, which type?

4 points to increase damage and 2 points to reduce losses gives a D on the Italian BB and NE to the sub. Would that be to the French impeccable taste?

With torpedoes scraping down the side of his hull and promised Italian air cover nowhere in sight, the Captain of the Guilio Cesare decides enough's enough and heads back to port.

Do the French wish another round? Italians will stay.

No, or yes... The French stay but does not include any submarines.

The French sub remains at sea but retires to the bottom.

The Japs try a ground strike against the forces holding Sian but it doesn't achieve anything.

Italy debarks ARM HQ and MOT to Cartagena.

Germany declares attack vs 2 disorganized Spanish units using attacking HQ support.

Attack is 36:22 = 3:2 even is picture says it is 2:1.

Does CW want to fly any planes? Germany has fighter in stand by.

Yes, RAF scramble all their available aircraft except the Harrow ATR. They even request aid from the RN who send in their Swordfish bombers.

Seems like CW don't need Spitfires, Gladiators are good enough to beat Bf109-E.

The Blenheim bomber reach Tangier, right? Then it can land there. The other return to the hex they originated from.

Fractional odds roll was very good, land combat roll was almost good enough.

Allies must destroy one unit, I guess it is 5-3 INF?

Germany rebases Bf109 to Bordeaux and another one to cover Paris.

Turn does not end (roll 7).

Back to Allies.
