5 attacks this phase. Worst roll occurred on the attack with the lowest odds, inflicting the most damage. If I would have remembered that it is only paradropped units that don't have a ZOC during the impulse of dropping and air transported units do have a ZOC, there would have been another high odds attack on the 3-1 GAR in the FR Alps (out of supply and disorganized).

A number of rebases coming up for the Neth fleet based in Rotterdam. I will rebase any to Scapa Flow. If that does not work for you, I will redo this portion later.

A very good turn for the axis. No so good for the allies.

Jul-Aug 1940. Allied #5. France.

Post movement, no air or land combat.

The French and CW are just trying to run out the turn before Paris is captured. Though, which Pat's push in the south and through the magnoit line my money is that he will not allow Vichy.

Jul-Aug 1940. Allied #5. Western Med.

Note the RAF fighter in Corsica. This move was only possible because of the rebasing of the British artillery division from France to Antwerp.

By the way, the RAF fighter is a night fighter. This is the first time I've played with this optional rule. I really don't understand how I should make use of this capability?

Choose night mission for ground strike or srtategic bombing (factors halved) and escort with night fighter. Enemy fighter's result is modified (DA -> AC and so on) but yours is not.

If you have juicy 3 unit stack to ground strike with 3 factor bomber but enemy has fighter in range, choose night mission (factor drops to 2) so that you have better odds to clear through.

6 Attacks this impulse, all in Europe. Unlike the ground strikes, they all ended up "perfect" at a modified 23 or better. There will be two posts with the results. I did assume assaults for all attacks when the French had the option.

Situation in Europe is dire for the French. The only troops south of the Loire are garrison troops (3-1) in Toulon. Also, all rail links between the north and south of France have been cut. However there are plenty of FR reinforcements coming (see next post), due to the shatter results that occurred in the two previous axis impulses.

Also, not shown are Italian movements in Africa, a general retreat from Tunisia and the continue adventures of the Libyan expeditionary corp which just entered AES - where are they going?

And here is the China situation. If I get more impulses this turn, it could get uglier for the Chinese.

Jul-Aug 1940. Allied #7. BEF. France.

The BEF lead by Lord Gort is evacuated from France. The CW still, and will continue to hold Antwerp in strength.

These are dark days for the allies.

Pre attack phase. There are 4 attacks and the FR HQ's can provide support to two of them.
Chengtu is at +18
Georges at +13.5
Terr at +18 (+21 B)
GAR at +17.2 (+18.2 B)

Will you provide HQ support?
You can choose the table for the attack on Georges. I'm assuming the attack in China will be an assault (Chinese choice).

1. Georges will provide HQ support to himself and will choose assault.

2. No to the other French HQ providing support.

3. Not that it matters but choose assault for attack on Chengtu.
