Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Allied #3. Actions.

Pat - I really need to think and plan out the CW naval moves. It will take me some time, so I'm not sure if I have their naval moves finished this evening or not.

I will attempt to intercept and initiate combat in all zones. No new aircraft will fly out. I should only have to use one unit in each zone for all of this.

I will engage only the two box. Since there are no CW fighters, I will fly the Bf110D as a bomber.

If I have 4 suprise points, I will use them to shift the AA to ne.

If I have 3 surprise points, I will use them to move the column up one.

The first effect (X or D) will go against the transport.

If the 3rd effect is a D and the transport is damaged, apply against the transport otherwise against the Kent.

Order for A's is Kent, Malaya, Frobisher, unless one of them has a 1/2A, then it gets the next A.

Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Allied #3. West Med. Round 2. Search.

A second round of search also goes the allies way in the Western Med. The allies continue to press their advantage.

Do you wish to fly the Bf 110E as a fighter or bomber?

How do you wish to fight the air to air battle?

Instructions for a round 3?

Fly it as a fighter and make it last in line (BF109, Freccia, Bf110E).

I will stay for round 3.

Turn 13. Sep/Oct 1941. Allied #3. West Med. Round 2.

I was excited when I rolled a 4 in the air-to-air combat. That excitement turned when the axis also rolled a 4.

What happened in the rest of this combat for rnd 2? I see by the following post that the naval combat ended on rnd 3 searches.

The allies had a +3, or higher, advantage in the air to air. Both sides aborted after the initial round ending it there.

Round 3 saw the search rolls of both sides fail ending the naval combat in the sea area.

SO41 i5,
I was sorry to see the bad weather continue.
Land for Germany, combined for Italy and Japan.
JP moved a couple of CPs to S. China Sea and a CV to the Bismark sea (heading towards Truk)
Italy moved a fighter to the W. Med 1-box and a Sub from La Spezia to CVB and CSV (in CSV the sub will not surface to participate in any combats this turn unless I change that order)
A German Stuka moves to the 2-box of BoB.

In CVB, the Italian sub finds on 1/8 search rolls. I let the combat roll over to surface and make the impact on the sub NE, move columns up two, and use three SP to select the first target (the transport, which is aborted when it makes it's throw on a D). You have 3 A results to apply. How would you like it done

Apply the A's to the Terror until it's gone and then to the Southhampten.

All aborts go to Cisneros.

Terror aborted on first roll, the other two A's aborted the Southhampton. Assumed you stayed for round two.
Rnd searches of 3/8 resulted in nobody finding.

No finds in the other zones except BoB where the allies found with surprise points, which I used to avoid the combat.
CSV: sub initiated and then avoided combat. Search rolls of 7/10.
W Med: Macchi initiates. Search rolls of 5/7.
BoB: Gabbiano (which had moved down to the 2-box) initiated. Search rolls of 7/1 allowed the CW to avoid the combat.
