He tore up some carriers for the loss of 700+ aircraft. Probably a wash.

We are in November of 1945. Troops have captured Fukuoka and are pouring from Fusan into the gap. The marines will conduct their 3rd assault on Shiminoseki with the first 2 outright killing about 8,000 japanese troops.

Points wise he is at 98,000 and I am at 125,000.

November 27, 1945 Far from a political victory with the Japanese people still willing to fight the high command realizes the inevitable and rather than have their people starve while being bombed from above they request surrender.

This was the most difficult game I have ever played. MrKane won by points in 1942 but we agreed to push on. MrKane won again when the P47 showed up and was not any more effective against his airforce than other airframes and I considered surrender. Finally and probably mostly due to MrKane not having to worry about a late game war before, the economy has crashed with the critical Vehicle number being the deciding factor.

According to MrKane the vehicle pools hit 0 about 3 months ago. There is virtually no armor available and less than 500,000 supplies.

His carrier force is still formidable and only recently scored more carriers sunk but no fuel to run the ships means he cant sortie those vessels.

My current game plan was resting up the fleet in preparation for a shift over to Shikkuka where I would ferry troops on to the Japanese home islands from the east. Not sure whether I could have won this war by points in 7 months or not.

The troops recently freed up by the liberation of Singapore were going to land in the northern phillipines and try to help free up manila.

Once the Russians are deployed in 1945 it is so hard for the Japanese to fight back.

The critical part of this game came down to a carrier clash between myself and MrKane and the weather shut his planes down while allowing mine to attack. If that had not happened I am not sure that MrKane would ever have had to surrender this game.

Thank you to MrKane for a wonderful game and learning experience.

Japan was still holding out in Manchuko in many key areas but Harbin had just dropped to 1600AV and I suspect there is no supply on the continent anymore.

In Japan Fukuyama falls to a shock attack the day after this photo. Russian troops are engaged with the Japanese at Kurume and he has a big stack 2000AV + but the Russians can cycle 4000+AV from Fukuoka until it falls.
