Doesn't generally work that way. I sure wish it did!

Does anyone know if any changes made to Mod actually can be or is added to a game in progress?

Unless it's a future upgrade, there is not much else that will appear in a game in progress. A restart would be necessary....GP

OK. It is serious Mod time today for me. I have five hours ALONE in this house and I intend to spend the majority of that time fixing things. I'm planning on going through every entry in this thread and cleaning up all that is mentioned.

Will Post as I go.

John, The Focus Pacific mod has up to date air art for French, New Zealand, and Australia. In perticular the french sub float plane, the OZ and NZ buffs. Also, I don't remember which one but the Liz in early 42 is missing air art. Just a few observations from my PBEM with Mike....GP

I believe that a lot of that art came from our work here. Got asked real nice if it could be 'borrowed.' More then happy to say yes. Want to fix the Buffalo art for NZ/Aust Buffs.

This is my list for work on the Mods:

1. A Niitaka-Class CA conversion to an AA heavy escort. Looking at losing TTs and/or FP space. VERY interesting idea.
2. Check numbers of Emily/Mavis groups.
3. Add the recon variant of the Nell with 5 Chutai being the max number of deployable aircraft.
4. Fix a-24 upgrade path.
5. Add NZ 14th Inf Brig with 17th Artie Regiment. Will pattern off of 8th Brigade...
6. Correct Oro Bay location number.
7. Fix 9th Aussie ID with correct TOE
8. CA Algerie needs a FP Air Group.
9. Fix Brit 2nd ID with correct TOE

Am I missing anything? Let me know please.

Well in your latest RA release there are still the Dutch ship issues I've posted about: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=4085805

In a hopefully easy to read format, here are the ship fixes:
Java: 50 -> 25 deck armor (50 is the slope armor behind the belt armor)
De Ruyter: 30 -> 100 turret armor
Tromp: 15 -> 25 turret armor

Admiralen Batch I: Modify weapons
12 cm No.4 - Front 2(1)
12 cm No.4 - Rear 2(1)
7.5 cm AA - Right 1(1)
7.5 cm AA - Left 1(1)
12.7 mm MG - Right 2(1)
12.7 mm MG - Left 2(1)
53.3 cm W1 Torp - Center 6(3)
DC Rack - Rear 2(1)

Admiralen Batch II: Modify weapons
12 cm No.5 - Front 2(1)
12 cm No.5 - Rear 2(1)
7.5 cm AA - Center 1(1)
2 pdr AA - Right 2(1)
2 pdr AA - Left 2(1)
12.7 mm MG - Right 2(1)
12.7 mm MG - Left 2(1)
53.3 cm W1 Torp - Center 6(3)
DC Rack - Rear 2(1)

Note that technically both Admiralen batches were designed with four DCTs (2 right, 2 left). On the other hand there was only one DC rack on the Batch I as far as I know and none(?) on the Batch II. Either way as I'm unsure as to exactly what kind of DCs they were originally made for and as it had probably changed by the time of the Pacific war I simply left it as 2 rear racks.

The following might have some errors, but more reasonable than the values currently used:

Sm GM: 6 -> 8 cruise speed
Sm GM: 1600 -> 3000 endurance
Sm GM: 120 -> 180 fuel
Sm GM: 30 -> 43 maneuver
Sm GM: No 7.5 cm gun? Might carry two ancient (pre-WW1) 3.7 cm guns (not AA capable)

Med GM: 6 -> 8 cruise speed
Med GM: 3100 -> 3500 endurance
Med GM: 323 -> 235 fuel
Med GM: 30 -> 40 maneuver
Med GM: Single 7.5 cm/40 gun? Probably not AA capable

A Class: 7 -> 8 cruise speed
A Class: 700 -> 1200 endurance
A Class: 40 -> 30 fuel
A Class: 30 -> 67 maneuver

Merbaboe: 6 -> 8 cruise speed
Merbaboe: 600 -> 625 endurance
Merbaboe: 120 -> 15 fuel
Merbaboe: 30 -> 71 maneuver

Alor: 6 -> 10 cruise speed
Alor: 1600 -> 1300 endurance
Alor: 120 -> 33 fuel
Alor: 30 -> 71 maneuver

Soemenep: 12 -> 10 max speed
Soemenep: 6 -> 8 cruise speed
Soemenep: 600 -> 1500 endurance
Soemenep: 120 -> 45 fuel
Soemenep: 30 -> 53 maneuver

Djember: 6 -> 10 cruise speed
Djember: 600 -> 1700 endurance
Djember: 120 -> 43 fuel
Djember: 30 -> 70 maneuver

Ardjoeno: 15 -> 10 max speed
Ardjoeno: 6 -> 8 cruise speed
Ardjoeno: 120 -> 13 fuel
Ardjoeno: 30 -> 71 maneuver

Arend: 12 -> 18 max speed
Arend: 6 -> 12 cruise speed
Arend: 3100 -> 4000 endurance
Arend: 323 -> 275 fuel
Arend: 30 -> 51 maneuver

Finally weapon fixes. Accuracy is hard to pin down, but range and penetration should definitely be higher.

15cm/50 No. 11: 21 -> 28 range
15cm/50 No. 11: 47 -> 50 accuracy
15cm/50 No. 11: 86 -> 128 penetration
15cm/50 No. 11: 43 -> 64 anti-armor

15cm/50 No. 10: 21 -> 28 range
15cm/50 No. 10: 47 -> 50 accuracy
15cm/50 No. 10: 86 -> 128 penetration
15cm/50 No. 10: 43 -> 64 anti-armor

15cm/50 No. 9: 21 -> 28 range
15cm/50 No. 9: 47 -> 50 accuracy
15cm/50 No. 9: 86 -> 128 penetration
15cm/50 No. 9: 43 -> 64 anti-armor

15cm/50 No. 6: 21 -> 23 range
15cm/50 No. 6: 47 -> 48 accuracy
15cm/50 No. 6: 86 -> 128 penetration
15cm/50 No. 6: 43 -> 64 anti-armor

Guessed values for the old 3.7 cm/20 naval gun:
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 3 range
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 28 accuracy
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 6 penetration
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 10 effect
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 3 anti-armor
3.7cm/20 Gericke: 7 anti-soft

Guessed values for the old 7.5 cm/40 naval gun:
7.5cm/40 No.3: 12 range
7.5cm/40 No.3: 30 accuracy
7.5cm/40 No.3: 20 penetration
7.5cm/40 No.3: 15 effect
7.5cm/40 No.3: 10 anti-armor
7.5cm/40 No.3: 14 anti-soft

12. CA Hawkins needs to have rear turret armor of 75 (has none now)
13. BB Colorado, I think, needs to have the right radar for its first upgrade

FIXED/DONE:
1. CA Niitaka conversion to CAAA. NASTY!
2. Checked Emily/Mavis Air Search Chutai/Daitai. Did slight tweaks of adding a few planes here and there. Very expensive aircraft so I don't want to mess with it very much.
3. Added 5 Chutai (9-12 Planes) of the Nell Search/Recon Variant. A factory producing 2/month has been added.
4. A-24---A-24b upgrade fixed. Should they be allowed to convert to something after A-24b?
5. Double Oro Bay locations fixed.
6. CA Algerie Air Group added.
7. CA Hawkins Rear Turret Armor fixed.
8. BB Colorado radar fixed.

According to this, the 389th Bombardment Squadron trained on dive bombers, but was switched to A-36 Apaches and sent to the Pacific to join the Fifth Air Force. Later equipped with P-40s and finally with A-20s. Something similar could be allowed.

Engines: It looks like both the Mitsu Ha-42 & 43 which don't start production until Sept or Oct '45 may need to be moved up (maybe 6 months) as they each have airframes coming online in late '44 (Sam) to early '44 (Peggy). I'm steadily expanding these two engines, but they will need time to advance at least 12 months.

Did some quick work and got the following done:

1. 9th Aust ID TOE fixed.
2. Brit 2nd ID TOE fixed.
3. 14th NZ Brigade could not find the issue. I was told to look at it compared to the 8th NZ Brigade and they are the same. What am I missing?

Will check on the engine dates Michael.

In my game with Dan those dates have been advanced into mid-44. Will check BTS.

Following the thread with DOCUP, I have decided to have the Americans build several of their Argonaut/Narwhal Class with the original design spec of a small Floatplane and hangar. YES AFB you will get 2-3 MORE SS (joining French Surcouf and her sister) for air search and recon of Japanese base/shipping.

I am going to need a Floatplane. Anyone want to 'design' one for me?
