We are currently building scenarios and developing the enhanced Campaign Series Event Engine. This involved writing scripts for each scenario, testing, rewriting, testing, rewriting, testing, rewriting and so on until the scenario plays as intended. In between the testing and rewriting there are times when the CSEE portion needs to be heavily modified (aka expanded) to cover unforeseen situations and ideas. Yes it should be a great task to have a great event engine, but why not publishing the game without the great event engine, so that people could start playing it, while you still work on the event engine and put it in a future update to the game ?? I'm ready to buy the game, even without a tough AI opponent..all the more as it gives me the impression I'm good :) PS: I played east/west front when they first came out but, with life going on I stopped a long time ago. Now I see that we can mod this game (that was impossible at the start..) and since one week I spent my time reading all about this subject !! By the way it's really interesting all the "Dev diary" !!! Nevertheless something is strange...when can't put a date out of the frame imposed !! It's surprising, we can't put what we want, make an invincible tank who fires 30 times a turn, but we can't modify the date !! Nor put the scenario in another bio…why ?
