Turn 25

France

Upgraded just about the whole French army with AA with the knowledge that CP has a decent size air-force not far away, that could easily show up here at any time, even my French artillery got AA. Suppressed what German units I could with air-power. IIRC sailed a English cav to disembark next turn at Calais, is there chance it will succeed this time? Who knows..? Gotta keep trying..

in 1914 its nonsense, if cp need it, then its just before italy would join

beating suiss is waisting of resources, its better to beat france

No, not really..! My thinking is this: If Italy is delayed from DOW 20 turns, that means AH has more time to set up for an Italian invasion at a time more suitable to their choosing and, or have AH actually take on the task of fighting the Swiss while Germany continues it's advances in France, for now France's eastern frontier would be exposed, meaning they would have to employ other units there (that's a guess). Should the Swiss fall under the CP boot, France would be even more exposed. How long do you think the Swiss will last under a bombing campaign, with fighter attacks, I'd venture not a heck of a long time, although CP's progress through Swiss mountains might be a bit slow, but if Bern is captured it opens up a rail link to all kinds of mischief?

bombing suiss means not bombing france, only point where attacking suiss make sense is when italy is nearby to join, at such point cp should be allready doomed, because cp have to decide faster

only games im using it are in 1915 scenario as cp, where its really needed, btw bern can be captured in the first turn, with enough bombing and boosted infatry nearby, there is just small garrison

Turn 26

German Boots in Italy Event

You might think: "What's so important about this event?" Answer: It causes Italy to lose -5 NM, in other words, If Italy had 100 NM before this event, it has 95 NM now.

u have allready once said u know what im thinking, when i told u something like "this is point where fate of prepared and unprepared cp divides"

opnn could win it, but he wasnt prepared

he made quite impressive advance (i remember him, he was of ones who gave me good fights), but he forgot to bring keys to paris

Good for you..! I am glad someone will play against you..! You would'nt want to play against me and waste your time, really I'm a terrible player, I even write about how much of a lousy player I am, but you know what? I just enjoy playing the game, bottom line.

Turn 26

France

Finally after bombing and strafing the German infantry by Calais they retreated when my cavalry stormed ashore and captured the German positions, Huzzah, Huzzah! Deployed a garrison at London to follow the cav and updated a light cruiser in port at Portsmouth. Put pressure on the German line from Rouen to north of Paris for good measure. Starting to feel good about this front, Can the Germans be broken..?

Turn 26

Italy

The fight begins for Italy..! Well the French and Italian garrisons by Venice did not last long (red circles).! Judging from the amount of CP fighters exposed here had to be at least 5 local air strikes. German artillery got punished between this turn and last turn, these I figured were going to be central to opnn's offensive here to take Italy. There's not a whole lot I can do to counter his fighter power, but to just slog it out. Will be railing a French garrison by Dijon to this front asap. Railed a French infantry to the northeast of Milan, as well as marched a garrison to Milan, while the Italians muster together fresh units. The Italians need to meet quotas to deploy their only infantry commander by attacking.. Brit infantry needed a turn of rest by Nice before moving to this front. Hope the Italian cav by Venice can hold the line till help arrives.

Still working to reduce the Turk army here, although his infantry and commander have reentered the fight. Air and naval units throw their weight into this battle too. The French armored cruiser might come into some use in the Red Sea.

I think you realize that my screenshots are for the public to get some idea about tactics and strategies that can be used in this game. It does not mean what I do is correct at all times, for that matter, often they are questionable. On the other hand I rarely see anything of tactical or strategic value from you to pass on to others that can be substantiated, a lot of speech, but no substance, so nobody learns nothing about your grandiose approach to the game. If you are that good, you should not be afraid to show the rest of the world your method to the madness. I am not ashamed to show sometimes my best as well as my worst.

Sarikamish

opnn did not hedge much on his turn, really his options were few and has only one exit from this region or get crushed. With my army blocking his east and with mountains to his north and south, he has only one direction to go, which is to withdraw to the west. Because my units (ZOC) crowd Erzurum he cannot receive reinforcements there and his Turk SG is basically stuck where it is now and be over-run later. My units are for the most part replenishing aside from a couple that are attacking, it's about maneuver for now, flank, re-flank.

Just viewed your AAR over at Slitherine, try to give it a little more substance. WOW..!! Your Paris looks to be a very vulnerable.

This might not look like much, it's where I'm chipping away at Germany's MP and forcing opnn to use PP for repairs, his total PP must be getting a low net about now.. He is not strong enough to over-power me and I'm not strong enough to over-power him atm. So as far as I am concerned it's a period for attrition, which eventually will work in my favor.

of course, it was a trap to lure germans into the gap

with few pauses i was thinking like 30 mins about what to do in 3rd turn, its outcome is nothing i will make public, because such defense can win almost any game and make mine vs it even tougher

usually i do just whats needed to win fast, this time i made anything to not lose

if im talking about aar i mean something like time when russia joins it and later, later its not such crucial

so random leaving players in 10th turn is not an option

The only observation I can make out in this picture is that many of the German units are not being repaired, aside from losses made this turn. It's an indicator to me that Germany is in economic flux. How bad? I do not know? Another possibility: Is that opnn is pretending to be broke, or holding PP from repairing for another purpose.

Germany's fleets are getting savaged, especially their light cruisers, none of them can break-out from the pocket they are in, except for maybe the 3 strength sub fleet. The German pre-dreadnaught has arrived, don't think it can do much of anything just yet. Using my Russian dreadnaught as blocker, may salvo the German sub if it is there next turn, we'll see. Russian shipyards are busy refitting damaged fleets, readying them for their next missions.

Withdrawing Cavan to Izmir to be at full supply and planning on moving the repaired infantry towards Gallipopli where it will have fleet supply support and ability to upgrade. Naval bombardment continues at both Turk cities here, also noted that the Turk garrison had repaired some. While land units are at half-supply they can only move one hex and cannot detach commanders.
