What? Those sorry dogs! Scurrilous. Vapid. Slothful. Hedonists.

I said Europeans, you are simply being redundant.

Since you have a bit of time while the Europeans work on their tans ... Looking back to the beginning of the game, did you detail what you did with the factories that were currently producing planes? I read through the first part of the AAR but did not see this. Did you expand them or convert them to something else? Things like the original Oscar plant or the Ida plant. I know you talked about your plans for the Nate plant at Harbin but I am not sure you said what you did with the other existing plants. I was looking through Mike's ARR and he talked about the original factories. This prompted me to look in yours as well.

Thanks in advance,

Wa

what are you looking for, the initial builds or the changed builds after the Soviet war?

The new build line is almost 100 percent fighters...Jack, Sam, Frank, all have like a dozen factories in r&d.

Harbin was left at size 10 Nates, and has since been leveled to 0 by bombers.

Initial builds before the Soviets where activated. I was just interested to know what your original plans for those factories where. Mainly did you expand anything or convert some of them to something else.

I think two days have gone by since my last update and I pulled a real bonehead maneuver. In my defense I just had surgery and I am having trouble with the computer.

Anyhow, I moved a very strong surface fleet with battleships and destroyers off Singers, and briefly thought about bombarding Singers...in fact I set it all up and then decided to wait for several DMS to arrive since there are ton of subs and most likely mines there. So I set the bombardment task force back to surface combat and decided to hang out just north of Palembang under a nice CAP.

Well, I forgot to remove Singers as the destination, and lo and behold the force steamed into Singers, sank a large cruiser converted minelayer there, and then camped out.

Oops. I think I lost 3 destroyers to mines, one of the bbs took 40 float damage, and then four waves of bombers attacked sinking another destroyer. My Zero CAP wasn't very strong at this range.

The Allies continue to attack Japan's industry wherever they can, Djambi being popular right now with Lightning sweeps, Soviets everywhere, and there are now two units at Toyohara.

A dozen Oscar Ic's caught some Soviets and did well, while Japanese night bombing has hit Vladivostock, Chungking, Changsha doing pitiful amounts of damage (weather is bad) and during the day Japanese bombers hit Sian's refineries.

This past day, I think I only lost 3 oil wells, on Honshu, to the Soviets.

Butchers bill...

My initial build strategy was heavy, very heavy on kamikazes. I had like 6 on Frank A, Jack, only two on Zero line, none on the Oscar, one on the Tojo, 3 on Randy FB, Grace, Jill and Judy and of course Sam. Nothing on Tony.

I wanted to test the viability of Kikka at a deathstar killer.

Now, the builds are all fighters, fighter bombers, and night fighters.

Jan 29, 1942

The day starts off well, with a couple of destroyers raiding a Soviet port. Three encounters are avoided, pt boats of some type perhaps, and the destroyers find this beauty...

then they engage a Soviet submarine inflicting light damage before retiring.

Didn't even hit any mines!

The expected Allied carriers show up...The Nagato and Mogami are to the north, but don't react...they probably passed fairly close to each other...

The Allied carriers are bomber heavy, only 60 fighters and they hit Hokkaido.

Soviets moving aggressively forward. In July they will lose 5 divisions for the German front and in Nov of 1942 a few more divisions will leave...but it is a long time till then.

As is usual, the Soviet Air Force is striking hard everywhere...

Another tough day in the air...Japan is down to around 700 fighters, with 600 available for service, and this after stripping almost every fighter from the KB.

There are 3 Zeroes and 6 Oscar Ic in the pools.

watch your rest% on your fighter groups ... ops losses cost you almost as much as loss to the enemy ...

Turn is done...IJN decided to send a battelship, heavy cruiser and about 6 destroyers after the Allied carrier force for a night time encounter...lots of naval search, a few Iboats, and only a half dozen Zeroes flying daytime CAP...but if the US Navy sticks around it should run into these guys.

Magwe should be mine shortly, six AA units should occupy the base on the day following conquest, but it might auto flip which would be different as the the Allies have abandoned it.

Yes, it bothers me. I still have planes flying with no aviation support in Manchuko and Korea. I am so short AV support there, it isn't funny and there is so much industry to protect.

No naval interception, and now Japan will really get pounded again in the air and on the ground in Manchuko. Won't be a fun turn.

The British bomber and fighter force is now in China...the only good news on the turn is the Allies don't bomb Hong Kong, but it will take several days to get the ships out of repair mode.

Japan's air force is pretty much destroyed. I cannot protect bases that can be swept by the Allies. I cannot shoot down the 4Es that fly deeper.
