I did setup a discord that we could use I prepared two chat channels for the teams (more can be added as needed) and setup some basic permissions.

You do not need a client, discord can run in your browser. You will have to create a (free) account though.

So you guys can decide if you want to try it or not.

Guys if you haven't already I would definitely advise joining the discord Lictuel very graciously made for us all

Lictuel setting it up has been a godsend for me I have never learnt so much so quickly with such quick exchange of information
Plus with the way the servers work it means for easy and effective cordoning off of channels for each specific user and I also imagine it will hasten response times of us all talking, coordinating and exchanging significantly

I have not been that focused on this game during this intermission, but did take time today to read the Axis thread and see what was up on discord. Also got a general PM in to my team.

The next 5 turns will be interesting, no doubt.

End of Axis Turn 13 in dropbox

Please note we are still updating the AAR - it is a bigger job than even I realised going back to pull all the details out! I will post here when it is complete to our half of turn 13 - please do keep reading until then. Also comments and reactions are welcome, so do post there!

I will post further sections that are complete, but not in the right sequence to post in the AAR yet, up to the game dropbox as text and picture files. So by tomorrow you will also be able to see almost all sections there if not in the forums itself.

Yes, a very difficult setting for the soviet team. Typically the +1 bonus would have helped you a lot around moscow right now.

Is that not full blizzard? The sign up thread said mild blizzard but when the Soviet team set up the file and sent it to us it had reduced blizzard crossed out! (See our AAR comments on that!)

One admin note, the Soviet team has lost EvK again due to RL issues and with Sardaukar still out we are back to three active Soviet players.

Hope the RL issue is a good one rather than bad one. Did not know Sardaukar is out, I hope similarly for good reasons rather than bad ones. I have been saving up my best SS Fremen warriors jokes so they will be there when returns.

Here is a good screenshot of why Soviet players should not ever spend APs on air defense units. Several versions ago, the German AA was buffed significantly and Soviet AA just nerfed to a severe degree.

American early war planning consisted of lots of Anti-"X" weapons. By the end of the war they concluded the "best way to stop a tank was with another tank", and the "best way to stop an aircraft was with another aircraft."

The Soviet side has an unsolicited inquiry about joining the cause. Since we're short a player for an undetermined period of time, that individual will be coming on board if they think it is worth their time.

The explanation should be self evident. The former management actually spent admin points to build the damn things and now I want you to waste bombers getting rid of them for me.

And the possible new player received a complete and unvarnished briefing. He indicated that he wasn't into lost causes.

I am with Dinglir here. I love U2s. Maybe they take away space in the lategame better used by IL 2s, but your best friends are the ones that help you during the critical times, aren't they?
