positions at the start of T6 in France

as you can now plainly see, a bridgehead and inland route has been made and enlarged each turn, with little chance of being now pushed back into the sea, it's all about, resting given attacking units and bringing in supplies and more fresh units, as you can see with air use, it's now gone slightly less active, as a mad rush to cover., then support with now just giving air cover and overall control of the skies and keeping the axis air-force bottled up and in use elsewhere and not where it wants to be, over France etc

with Italy being almost the same as my last AAR, coastal attacks, with middle of the land mass for faints and probes only, as the terrain isn't good for anything other than holding ground, so i don't attack it, and wait for the Axis forces to withdraw as soon as i push hard on both coastal roads, with trying to force a breakout, without throwing troops away into daft head on attacks and making Italy a bloodbath and troop black hole...

positions at the end of T6 in France, so as shown below that's my plan, but as in all planning, as soon as the first combat happens, it doesn't always mean you have to either stick to a given plan, but wait and look what has happened and amend your plan to suit a given result, this way you aren't ridged and more flexible and can switch targets and direction at will

a very tough nut to crack, not only is the terrain against you, look at the amount if units stacked, so it's hard to pull back units from the line and rest and bring up newer units, as atm you don't have the space

so it's reform a new line or be flanked and surrounded, and yes they will pull back and reform, sorry i can't do the same in France, but i don't yet have the frontage to bring all my units to bare until i get a break out, Italy atm is the main advance, while France is a hard slog...

now on T6, lets look at Axis lines, as you can clearly see, they have no intention of letting me break out on the yellow front as shown, where they have put most of the SS divisions, so don't push there, or you will just cause a bloodbath, they are far too strong and tbh it's easier to go elsewhere and flank, or try and flank them, as they will pull back if threatened etc

so instead we look and find easier places, and attack there, sometimes a assault is needed, for me a attack is a 3 stack from one direction, and a assault is using more than one stack from multiply directions etc, while the cost can be higher, the chances of success is also higher if done right, with support and the right mix of units, just check the force also of what your attacking, recon and no FOW helps here, but once this isn't used, it's a hole new ball game also

also to shake something up, i've landed in southern France just outside of Nice, so more bombers and fighters have been busy this turn, so more losses, but you can't break an egg if you don't want an omelet

this may pull some support troops for the Axis from elsewhere, as they can't be everywhere at once, so either of my main fronts will get some rest bite hopefully, just the free French and some US divisions, so a minor side show or faint tbh
