Assaulting units: 54th Chinese Corps 20th Australian Brigade 18th Australian Brigade 111th LRP Brigade 8th New Chinese Corps Defending units: 14th Division 1st Army Some units will pursue the retreated enemy while others head to the primary road to Chungking to make sure the enemy does not retreat onto that road when they are caught. Tanks and a motorized regiment will enter the Chungking plain tomorrow. They will move directly against Neikiang to gain an air and supply base for the liberation of Chungking. The enemy across the river from Kweiyang continue being decimated by our tactical air as they retire toward Chungking. Enough engineering units are working at Canton now that the base has been repaired and is expanding. An Allied task group consisting of an armored car units, a corps HQ, and three brigades has formed 2 hexes SE of Canton and will speed toward Amoy, bypassing Swatow and Chaochow. Units bound for Hong Kong will begin passing through Canton tomorrow.
