• 1,131 AV at Tsuyung. Assault tomorrow. About 38,000 enemy present, so I don't expect much.

• 1,011 AV at Kunming. Assault tomorrow. Enemy troops appear moving eastward, and we hope to retreat them northeast into the mountains first. Accordingly, Chinese Army 54th Corps (with 735 AV) will execute a shock attack while the other units (with percentages of disabled squads) support with a deliberate attack.

• The Bde will remain at Kweiyang while the other 3 units head NW along the road to the Chungking plain. They might run into a Rgt sized enemy unit withdrawing from the Kunming area but if we get lucky our tanks will get in front of it.

• The zombies slipped out of the hex before our righteous host arrived. Our tanks will pursue while all the other units head for the vicinity of Hong Kong, and tactical air strikes will ensure they don't slip away again.

• The 5th British Para Bde and the 475 USA Rgt are working their way around opposite sides of Hainan Island from Kiungshan toward Samah.

• The enemy ASW forces have spread farther and farther from Home Islands toward Daito Shoto. A TF with 2 CL and many DD will make a quick run into the edge of them.

• Resupply at Nago is about half unloaded. Resupply at Naha will finish tonight and has cost us several LST.

• 1,583 AV at Nago.

• 1,693 AV at Naha. I think as soon as resupply is done we will conduct the next assault.

• Ki-83 CAP trap over Naha. What the heck?! They came from Kyushu (I thought 1950's SciFi horror movies came later). We did better overall, but it was very tough on the dive bombers and torpedo bombers running strikes.

• 1,591 AV at Nago. Resupply will continue.

• 1,715 AV at Naha. Assault tomorrow. Fortifications should be at level 3 now with daily bombardments stymieing rebuilding efforts.

Two DDs in danger of sinking and seven kamikazes involved does not seem to show a VP advantage for you. Were there some other kamikaze attempts that you did not show?
BTW, six kami hits for 7 aircraft suggests he has trained those pilots to high levels. Could be very dicey getting close to Japan.

There were actually 24 and 20, respectively, of each type lost. I should have posted a pic of air losses on the day.

Definitely will be dicey getting close to Japan!

• The division slipped out of Tsuyung so the 23rd Army was punished instead.

• That was not a regiment on the road to the Chungking plain, it was the North China Area Army, tossed into the dustbin of history.

• Our units on and heading for the road to the Chungking plain will race there as fast as possible, then have a look at the defenses of Neikiang. Recon shows the place much more lightly held than either Chungking or Chengtu.

• The assault begins tomorrow on two enemy units just east of Kunming. More than 15,000 troops, so perhaps a regiment (which was in a blocking position) plus a diminished division escaped from Kunming.

• The enemy troops still across the river from Kweiyang will continue to make excellent practice targets for tactical air.

• The armor has destroyed the last of the Canton defenders and will head off to join the Hong Kong operation.

• Tallying up assigned units in their current status, it looks like we will have 3,741 AV for the Hong Kong operation. Recon shows about 34,000 defenders.

• Our units will enter Samah tomorrow.

• We deployed a large number of subs across and around the IJN major units' position. Likely they saw the TF approach and decided to pull back to Port Arthur before the sub TF split into patrols.

• Assignments for the next set of targets. Kanoya could be light as it has been reinforced, now showing 46,000 troops.

• The air strikes on Nago did not go in due to weather. Rain is also predicted tomorrow. Cross your fingers.

• 45 supply hits on Naha for the day. That'll spoil their breakfast! In fact, we only had 7 supply hits from all the bombardments over the last month. Fatigue among the bomber crews soared into the 20's so they will stand down for a day or two.

• 1,600 AV at Nago. Resupply of Nago is still underway (8,274 tons left to unload), so the first assault will wait a day.

• 1,471 AV at Naha. 131 increase from yesterday, so that resupply really put us back into a better supply range. Two of the infantry regiments are in single digits for AV. Sending in an AK convoy with another 40,000 tons of supply.

• The supply-bombing of Naha and Nago will continue as I assume any supplies that we could capture at Nago are more likely to be pulled into Naha prior to capture anyway.

• 38 supply hits at Nago.

• 16 supply hits at Naha.

• 1,478 AV at Nago. One division has elevated Disruption (30), but the real reason to rest for a day is to get the full naval bombardment cadre back on station.

• 1,575 AV at Naha.

• 4,687 AV at Singapore. +66. We will get a boost of 117 or more AV in 2 days when a rested unit arrives back in Singapore. Even with that boost, given the slowing rate of recovery it might take a long time to get back to the 5,778 AV of the previous assault. We will probably assault in a few days when the battleships and heavy cruisers are both in position (the battleships will bombard tonight then cycle back on station).

• Enemy withdrawal from Tsuyung area continues.

• Attack tomorrow on the remnants near Kunming.

• 237 AV at Neikiang. The para division has turned toward Neikiang and should arrive in 2 days. At least one unit of the 58,000 troops at Chungking is moving into the para division, seeking to reinforce Neikiang. Tactical air is being assigned to intervene.

• The beleaguered enemy near Kweiyang has moved into the woods-rough 2 hexes from Chungking and may get some respite from our tactical air.

• 3,853 AV plus lots of artillery is commencing to cross into Hong Kong. Estimate 3 days.

• Group Amoy has moved 1 hex, 4 more hexes to go. I assume they will be spotted in a few days when they begin passing to the north of Chaochow.

I've got the turn open and pretty much done for the day. Walter does not need it back now (busy) - anything y'all want to see?

Do you have a list of your subs lost? IJN asw is looking pretty effective . . . although with the area of operations becoming so constricted I guess that's to be expected. As always, enjoying the AAR.

I don't know why this is not going back to the beginning of the game.

I exported the CSV of ships sunk (all of them for the Allies) from Tracker. This does have loads of ships right from 1941-12-07, but I assume it must have the same deficiency as the sunk subs list I produced for the Allies (also from Tracker). It's the best I've got because as you know the in-game list is graphical without any export function (don't want to take dozens of screen pics).

Maybe the next time I have to start over with the Tracker database it will pick up all the subs from the game? No idea. If anyone knows about that please pipe in.

The forum does not let you upload .csv files, so I changed the name to .txt. Just change it back to .csv and open it with your favorite spreadsheet program.

I just looked at the in-game list because, well just because. It shows the first Allied sub lost 1943-03-25, so it's not that Tracker is failing to pick up things correctly. But is that even possible? I didn't lose a sub for the first16 months? Really?

Looking through combat reports: it is possible. I would have to check the Events and Operations reports too.

• We are pulling out two fresh, full strength British divisions so they can upgrade squads. Some of our other divisions are very hobbled with disablements but that can't be helped. We will order the next assault as soon as the British divisions are back from upgrades (2 days movement, 6 days upgrades, 2 days movement, so 10 days if there are no delays).

• 5,015 AV at Singapore (includes 122 in a Bde just moved into Singapore). +209. Last assault was 1945-05-20, we had 5,778 AV and fortifications were level 5. The delay to upgrade the British divisions should help us get recovery to above the AV of the prior assault.

• Enemy withdrawal from the Tsuyung area continues.

• Most of our forces around Kunming and Tsuyung are moving toward the Chungking plain. A few will hold the area against the Imperials reversing course, and a few will head east to keep up the pressure on all points.

• 230 AV at Neikiang. In spite of heightened Disruption the attack will continue tomorrow. The 44th Parachute Division will also arrive tomorrow, and possibly enemy units will move into the entry hex behind them, trapping our units for the time being. The para division moving into Neikiang is well equipped for a para division, has 364 AV, and experience of 91. I'm confident the defenders will be booted out promptly with the weight added to the offensive.

• 3,863 AV will cross into Hong Kong in 2 days.

• Enemy unit(s) seen moving SW from Kanhsien for the second day.

• Our units crossing into Hong Kong are changing to combat mode, 2 days until the crossing.

• Disruption recovery at Nago is good and with the next assault in 3 days (to allow the bombardment armada to get back on station) the next assault should be very good.

• Disruption is low single digits among all units at Naha.

• 23 supply hits at Nago.

• 10 supply hits at Naha.

• 1,217 AV at Nago.

• 1,803 AV at Naha. Assault tomorrow. Our AV is +60 compared to last time. Fortification level was 3 last time and was not reduced. We have plenty of combat engineers on site so hopefully the assault will face fortification level 2 for final odds resolution.

Complete combat report attached.

I don't have a list like that. I know you have been reading the AAR because you asked about a combat report I missed attaching, so what makes you ask?

(Because I am not sure how to answer.)

Some base with a high value multiplier suddenly got supply? Noumea is a possibility.

I was thinking about bases and supply, but the VP line didn't seem to show that difference. Maybe those aren't shown for FOW purposes?

Noumea has few troops and over 100,000 supply so no effects from there.

• The Imperial retreat from the Tsuyung area continues.

• A large corps (784 AV) should cross the river onto the hex between Neikiang and Chungking in 3 days. I assume there will be enemy present by then.

• 602 AV at Neikiang. I think there was no attack because the outcome yesterday required I renew the order but I didn't. Assault tomorrow.

• It looks like it is a single unit of 900 troops moved SW out of Kanhsien. It's hard to tell if they are advance scouts or early warning. Either way they will be granted the benefit of tactical air to keep them from blocking traffic.

• We will bring in the units which captured Hainan Island and replace them with engineering units to repair and build the bases.

• 3,864 AV will cross into Hong Kong tomorrow.

• The Amoy task force will make another hex tomorrow, leaving 3 to go.

witpqs: I really don't know why we got such a pop in VP today.

Some base with a high value multiplier suddenly got supply? Noumea is a possibility.

Looking at the numbers, it was his opponent that lost VPs, witpqs did not gain that many.
It would appear that some base suddenly went low on supply for his opponent.
