1942 March 03 INVADED Bataan, Changsha are also invested. CHANGED OWNERSHIP Japanese forces CAPTURE Bassein !!! Overall No carrier sightings, but there are signs of KB1 in the vicinity of Port Moresby, probably east and north of there. West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii Some of those troop convoys have sailed and one should be ready to sail tomorrow. Pacific Sub(s) off Suva. New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, New Hebrides, Solomons, Papua New Guinea, New Britain All four of our subs in the western Solomon Sea show 10/10 DL; our sub in the eastern Solomon Sea shows 8/8 DL. A major effort to punish our 4EB over Port Moresby was made by the Empire with three dozen Zero's appearing at one time in each of two engagements. It looks like we traded 3x B-17's for 3x Zero's. quote:

Enough of our B-17's are damaged to make a strike tomorrow have less density and therefore lessened defenses against so they will stand down. That might also make them available for a strike on KB1 in the coming days. Philippines Bataan fortifications are 1 + 21% with minor base damage. Building might be precluded by heavier bombing raids. DEI, Dutch new Guinea, Borneo, Malaya Slow cleanup on the western side of Borneo. quote:

Our base force sneaking around Sining has been caught by an enemy unit from Sining (must be the 2nd Ind.Mixed Brigade - brought to you in mere seconds by Intel Monkey) and so must slow its movement. There was no repeat of the sweep/bombing raid on Chungking in spite of clear skies. None of our remaining fighters are ready to fly anyway but we have a numbers of bombers on the ground making attractive targets. One P-40B AVG Sqn transferred to Kunming and the other transferred to Ledo. India, Burma, Thailand, Indochina The Empire has cleaned up lower Burma even if they are not confident of that fact. quote:
