1942 March 08 INVADED Amphibious TF 298 offshore of Buka Bataan, Bacolad, Changsha, Lanchow, Kungchang are also invested. CHANGED OWNERSHIP Overall • KB2 and KB3 in the Java Sea near the western end of Java. No sighting of KB1. Based on fighter group markings it looks like Kaga is operating as part of KB2. West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii • Quiet. Pacific • 2 subs near Suva. • The Lexington's are heading for Pearl Harbor to upgrade. The Yorktown's will wait several days until KB1 is sighted to better ascertain Imperial intentions in this area in the near future.
