Is your opponent also playing on two different computers/devices? I'm not sure, but this might explain why the replay gets corrupted even though you may be playing 2-3 consecutive turns on the same device. i.e., the corrupted replay could be coming from the opponents turn too In any case, you will definitely get corrupted playbacks showing weird things, including FOW corruption, if you don't copy over and use the most recent .dat file (from the most recently played on device) when playing the next turn on a different device.
