In Spartan ( under Diplomacy ), Diplomats being Ejected can be "Boiled Alive". Fair enough !

According to the "Boiled Alive" ejection wording, they are Boiled "until the skin drops off their bones" and are then returned to their "Nation" as an example. Also fair enough.
Logically, this practice/process generally means that a dead "body" is returned. Sadly, in Spartan, this is not so...

Unfortunately, the game returns the said Diplomat alive and he continues to be available for future Diplomatic Chores ( instantly )...

Can any simple change be made ( to a modifiable file ) to correct this error ?

After two further test games, I have established ( beyond doubt ), that the game plays correctly ( when operated correctly ), contrary to my previous post !

My abject apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

However, the error noted : "Unfortunately, the game returns the said Diplomat alive and he continues to be available for future Diplomatic Chores ( instantly )..." did occur during my first game...

I can only conclude ( I have not yet tested ), that the error occurred whilst my game was subject to the "Ctrl" key "error", that I have noted elsewhere.

[ I.E. That it occurred between my use of Ctrl and Esc ( to put the game on the task bar ), and my repressing of the Ctrl key to reverse it's ( incorrect ) effects. ]

NB : I plan to do some further testing to confirm my conclusion and will report here IDC.

Further to the above.

I have now concluded my testing under "Ctrl" key "error" conditions. Unfortunately, I was unable to replicate the error originally noted ( re "Boiled Alive" ), to prove my theory.
However, a further, possible error occurred instead - details as follows :

A Foreign Diplomat was "Made to Disappear" ( i.e. "Rot in a Cell" ). Within 3 months, a Friendly Diplomat appeared with exactly the same name/s ( Forename and Father's Name ) !

Has the "Jailed" Diplomat changed sides here ? To become a "Double Agent" as it were...

[ This seems very unlikely, but is not completely implausible ( IMHO ) ! ]

Anyway, although I have a few theories as to why both of these "errors" occurred, I will refrain from sharing them with you all.

[ Suffice to say, that they have only occurred under "Ctrl" key error "conditions" ; and although other criteria may be involved also ( including their somehow being limited to one error per ( admittedly short ) game ) ; we can all avoid the "Ctrl" key error problem easily enough ( as previously advised ) ! ]
