Status: offline 		I had not looked carefully at the Italian surrender bug. Not only did the Italians surrender when they shouldn't, they surrendered incorrectly. The second surrender is different and much worse than the first. The second surrender should remove all Italian units from play. I now see that this didn't happen. I had assumed that it had. It ia good for your game that it didn't.

So now it is clear that MWiF does not change the game state from never surrendered to surrendered but liberated when the Germans liberated Italy.

Status: offline 		On the control change on conquest mechanism - the rule is designed for the surrender of Italy, but then used for every country.


In any game, a side should ask itself at all times - “what would the other side want me to do right here?”

In this game, if you asked the Germans what the new Army on the Allied side should do, they would probably suggest that it should invade North Africa, as that doesn’t hurt the Axis in any way.

Alright General Brian, your counsel hasn't completely fallen on deaf ears on the allied side. You do have your supporters in both the US and British camps that may still sway where the allies invade. Even at this late date with the invasion forces at sea. And invade they will next allied impulse. Well, they will after first declaring war on Vichy. But, I get ahead of myself as I haven't even posted the axis impulse yet. Nor played the next allied impulse either.

Actions. Germany - naval, Italy - combine, Japan - naval. It's one of those rare turns where Germany takes a naval and one of those less rare, but still infrequent, turns where Japan takes a naval.
