ORIGINAL: geofflambert I'm afraid I don't read the NY Post. I do rank it well above the Express.UK, though. Remember that TV series, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea? It had the monster of the week routine. The Express.UK has an asteroid of the week routine. Every week, a new asteroid has been discovered that's just about to smash into the Earth and bring an end to human civilization. So, how do you like the UK Guardian? https://theworldnews.net/gb-news/dutch-wwii-submarine-wrecks-disappear-from-malaysian-seabed I had already guessed based on your knowledge in threads that you were a CNN, NY Times, Washington Post type of Gorn. All three of those have a much worse record for truth than the NY Post. Can't tell if sarcasm... are you sarcasming so hard you seem serious? No, I’m quite serious. You have to look much deeper than just the funny headlines. The NY Post has always used funny headlines to gain popular attention and sell papers. You have to look at the content of the articles one by one. Here is a list of 124 corrections New York Times made for July alone. (124 corrections and we are only up to July 15) https://www.nytimes.com/section/corrections That equals on average about 8 mistakes, major or minor, per day the NY Times makes. They don’t have editors that are honest or proficient in the English language. That does not count the NY Times retractions. They have had 5 major ones in the last two or three years. Total lies that required total retractions. This goes back many years. Here are some funny ones from 2012: https://theweek.com/articles/469508/years-9-most-hilariousnew-york-timescorrections From that, here is an example of one that is more funny for me than any NY Post Headline: 2. "Fanfare for the Comma Man" Correction: “An earlier version of this article misstated the length of time E.B. White wrote for The New Yorker as five centuries." The reporters and editors for the NY Times are supposed to be professionals. They are not, they are hacks. On top of that I believe that the owner and editors of the NY Times are determined to make that paper the premier communist publication in the world. That is fine if that is what they want to do but they should be honest about it. I don’t like communists; I never have. The Washington Post is about the same but they are sometimes worse. Many times they don’t make corrections or retractions they just let them stand to be corrected by others or they just fake it: Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/kalevleetaru/2017/01/01/fake-news-and-how-the-washington-post-rewrote-its-story-on-russian-hacking-of-the-power-grid/#52fead1e7ad5 “Despite the article ballooning from 8 to 18 paragraphs, the publication date of the article remained unchanged and no editorial note was appended, meaning that a reader being forwarded a link to the article would have no way of knowing the article they were seeing was in any way changed from the original version published 2 hours prior.” The Wall Street Journal is the best currently available. They make mistakes but far fewer and almost no major retractions. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC are total jokes and most of the country knows it. Fox is the best and that is not saying very much. They stand out only because the rest are so poor. In fact, Americans don’t have a real good source of cable or broadcast news currently available. I often have to go to the UK for news to understand what is going on in America.
