I've bought a scanner and I would like to know how to display scanned items on websites such as this one. Do I have to change the format of the image files? It would be great if someone could explain in simple terms how to proceed.:confused:

I'm using a Visioneer 5600 scanner with Paperport software.

For showing of on the Web you should use either JPEG or GIF format. The resolution should be 72 dpi - 96 dpi. and at a reasonable image size for the purpose.

To show images on the web, you either need you own webspace where you load the images up or if (like in our case) the forum software supports attaching files, all you need to do is, well, attach the file to a post ;). Note that we have a file size limit though, around 400kb IIRC.
