I would stay away from Cherepovets. You want your infantry heading further south not east in that area. Soon you will take leningrad and you can try to use the finns to capture cherepovets.

Leningrad is taken head on and only against 1 defending division. I think Russian priorities have approached panic stage.

Well at least near Leningrad. He should have split his retreating forces. Half into a stronger Leningrad defense, the rest to fleeeeee.

Oh wait just noticed: And those darn PVO AA Regiments. lol

To take Rostov I have to prepare to cross the river and take those other 3 towns I need to split my South Front HQ.

The river line does not look heavily built up. But my tanks are low on fuel.

I will combo with infantry and do a tank corp hq fuel up

North Final. Pocket set , now trying to move armor south to rr lines. and infantry.

Large pockets are taking time and effort to eliminate.

And Final Tula.

I'm still working on a name for this particular lasso of Tula.

Which had Armaments.

They tanks end up near as best possible the rr. Which is visible in photo.

Oh and another pocket.

Assuming that you are using the Windows Paint app...

When you paste into Paint, whether you scroll or click on the resulting image with the cursor - say to crop the image - when a new image is pasted into Paint, the new image will fill onto the screen starting from the horizontal line at the top of the window, even if it is not the actual top line of the image.

There are three solutions that I am aware of, which I use:

1. Don't scroll or click on the image that you paste

2. Scroll the Paint window back to the top of the image before each paste

2. If you want to be extra safe, then save the image and restart Paint before you paste a new image

There is possibly a better understanding to be found if you Google this question. But this is the method I use!

Strong Axis position here. You know you've had a good Summer when supply becomes your main problem in the Autumn. It's also a good sign when you have to look up how to spell Cherepovets :)

Soviet losses don't look too bad at the moment but will be hit hard when those pockets are reduced.
There's still enough in the game to keep it interesting though especially with it being a 290 VP campaign. 1942 will be fascinating if Soviet morale holds.

Last attack in area is a loser.

Supplies are not cut To Rostov.

I have 1 more turn to take it before mud.

I guess it will be massive frontal attack on turn 17. Get the popcorn.

This is my tank situation up north before moves:

So what should be , only 2 turns left clear, what shall we do?

Dangers , what can be gained. What can be lost?

Cherepovets, Yaroslava, north Moscow, full pincer attempt?

Retreat? Resupply?

Be careful pushing too far beyond your railhead. In the mud turns units beyond 100 MPs from rail will lose morale points fast.

No retreat.

Your best bet is to keep kicking the soviets in the teeth as long as possible....then once blizzard hits you can slowly give ground....as soviet movement penalties plus blizzard means most their infantry cant even attack if it has to clear 1 enemy hex.

You will have some frost time to start digging in if you want...as well some of the lagging infantry and be brought up to start entrenching your winter lines.

The more soviets you kill pre-blizzard the easier your winter will be.

Also I count something 55+ more soviet divisions still be to liquidated....which means since they are taking so long to die they will be useless experience wise in the winter as well.

Even more importantly, losing them after the start of October means they don't come back for free, right?

They come back for free if the Soviets do not have any Admin points left at the end of Soviet turn.

Focus on causing casualties to the Soviets while maintaining your own strength for now.

At Rostov simply encircle the city, leaving it to starve to death during the mud and then take it come snow.

In the north, start reducing the pockets. No need for you to take more attrition damage than necessary.

Look at the fuel and supply situation at the front and figure out if you can encircle a few more Soviet units before the mud.
