Judging from this and the BB bombardments at Manila, Ed probably wants to finish Manila first and then throw everything at Palembang, in order to minimise loses and destruction. The oil continues to accumulate at Palembang while still under Allied control, if he launches an overwhelming all-out attack he may capture the oil installations and the accumulated oil stocks relatively intact, which would make the late capture . It is thus possible that a large part of the unaccounted units are miving to Luzon.
I expect that the /C element of the 14th Div will be moved to PM soon, which might be enough to capture that location.

Status: offline 		Glad to see you trying to stop the IJA tanks at PM by flying in A/T guns. Not many players think of flying in light AA and A/T guns with their transports and patrol aircraft. They can make a world of difference if supply is adequate.

It has been a calm turn all across the map - except off Port Moresby. Two Allied TFs totaling 9 CLs and 7 DDs tried to intercept a Japanese convoy heading to PM which had been spotted by air search, presumably carrying the last element of the IJA 14th Division. The TFs encountered everything in the Japanese arsenal except midget subs - subs, SAGs, mines, LBA, carrier-based air, even bombing by ship-based float planes. After two days, only CL Dauntless and DD Van Nes remain barely afloat. All this for almost nothing - one DMS and one AMC reported sunk (the AMC turned out to be sync bug). PTs clashed with covering forces while Amphibious TF 105 is unloading at Port Moresby - new arrivals identified as 55th and 114th Inf Rgt, apparently more elements of the IJA 18th Division are joining the fray. That pits 2.5 IJA divisions against two way understrength Australian divisions plus some small fry, in total maybe the equvalent of 1.5 divisions. Supplies at PM are down to 36k and bombing and bombardment missions keep the diggers from digging fortifications. Not looking good.

The Japanese convoy managed to sneak-in unmolested by Allied air "massing" in Queensland:
3 x B-25C Mitchell unable to locate target due to range or weather
13 x SBD-3 Dauntless unable to locate target due to range or weather
11 x A-24 Banshee unable to locate target due to range or weather
The bombers then switched to secondary mission, ground bombing around Coen - and found LRCAP, losing two. LRCAP must be coming from Horn Island - or KB.

TF 346 sighted by B5N2 Kate at 97,130 near Port Moresby - indicating that KB must be lurking nearby, apparently providing LRCAP over PM:

Pilot killed in landing accident of B-17E Fortress from 5th BG/23rd BS - the unit is flying search missions from Tahiti, the pilot must have confused naval search with navel search and got distracted by the target-rich environment on the beaches of Tahiti...

Availalbe limites air transport assets continue to fly supplies to Paoshan and lift-out Chinese NCAC troops to the fleshpots of India - now it is the turn of the 8th New Chinese Corps

Japanese SRA:
After weeks of bombings and several ground attacks, Japanese forces finally take Palembang. 21 Allied units have been destroyed, incl. the refugees from Malaya, the 9th and 11th Indian Divisions. This frees at least 3 IJA divisions for other operations - probably Manila, PM and Bandoeng. I don't think Ed will land on Ceylon, India, Australia or elsewhere before having made more divisions available.

Northern Australia:
Remnants of the Broome and Derby base forces which have not been able to air-evac to Geralton have marched to the doorsteps of Port Hedland to find it occupied by the enemy - and an enemy unit is chasing them down.

SWPac:

PM is also bombed repeatedly by Nells and Betties from Rabaul and Kates from a carrier force operating in the Coral Sea.

I love it when KB/MKB send their precious pilots to ineffectively bomb a land target that is well dug-in. Good chance that at least two of those damaged Kates didn't make it back.

Yes, DBB-C is using the extended map. Dobadura is a dot base between Port Moresby and Buna. IRL it became an important Allied airbase

Main action centered on PM. Two APDs loaded with supplies encountered a Japanese bombardment force who had sneaked-in undetected and both APDs got sunk. The Japanese ships bombarding Port Moresby made a wide detour to get back to Rabaul - presumably to avoid subs - and came into range of dive-bombers at Cooktown, but weather protected them, only one squadron out of three attacked and scored one hit on Chokai. The other squadrons reported "unable to locate target due to range or weather". Netties ground-bombed PM as well. Despite all this, the PM garrison survived one shock attack, but a second shock attack forced it to yield the base and retreat towards the "rescue base" the Commandos had seized a few days before:

DD Isaac Sweers surprised a PB at Akyab, probably sinking it. The DD was opening the way for a bombardment force of PG Soerabaja and PG Erebus, giving Akyab a good pasting and destroying 3 Zeros on the ground. However, replenishing ammo for their big guns means a trip all the way to Colombo.
Several waves of British bombers visited Lashio, repeatedly hitting an empty airbase.
Regrouping of ground forces has started to move forces from defensive posistions in India to the Burma front.

Kohima expands fortifications to size 3.
A small IJN SAG (1 CL + 4 DD) raided Cox's Bazar, sinking a small xAK. Good - means dispersal for Combined Fleet.

Northern Australia:
Frantic digging at Tennant Creek to raise the supply cap while transport planes no longer needed for Port Moresby joined the Wirraways at Alice Springs hauling supplies. The Northern Territory garrison force has one hex to go to finish the retreat. Cloncurry and Normanton have been "secured" by US tank battalions.

SWPac:
ex-PM garrison under a hail of bombs, pursuing Japanese ground forces have caught up - expecting a ground attack next turn which may well anihilate what's left of two Australian divisions plus support.
32nd Division is one day short of arriving at Melbourne, joining the Americal Division and one third of the 27th Division. Cannot accumulate enough PPs to buy-out the rest of the 27th Div, still have many bad leaders to change and smaller units to buy-out.

SoPac:

Oscars sweep Chittagong seeking revenge but find no opposition.

Manila and Bandoeng as usual.

Western Australia:
Two B-25s lost to Rufes over Carnarvon while ground-bombing. Another DA including the tanks goes in and takes back the base, pushing the enemy one hex up the coast. The tanks will try to encircle the enemy by cutting inland while the infantry pursues up the coast. Base forces, AA, Eng and CD units are on their way to Carnarvon to establish a proper base.

Northern Australia:
Alice Springs expands airfield to size 4.

SWPac:
While PBYs evacuate as many men as possible, the ex-PM garrison tries to retreat further down the coast away from PM - helped along by an enemy SAG bombarding.

SoPac:
Norfolk Island still the focus of the Allied fleets - BB-TFs bombard again, with a carrier strike as encore. Location of KB unknown, the sub picket lines established around Noumea and the Solomons have nothing to report.

Status: offline 		Given the presence of Japanese in Sumatra and Malaya (and maybe Cocos Is.?) it might be better to send Warspite from Perth to CT. You can compare the distances by giving the Warspite TF a destination of CT and looking at the hex count it says in the upper left of the TF screen. Then change the destination to Colombo. You might need to build in a waypoint to keep Warspite far from enemy search and bombing range. Judgement of where best to repair Warspite would then be assessment of travel time and risks (enemy and float failure). Considering the danger of a Ceylon invasion during Warspite's lengthy repair, I say CT is less risky.

Done that already - Colombo is closer. CT is 139 hexes as the crow flies. Colombo can be reached in a 126 hex voyage with waypoints that give Cocos Island a wide berth of 23 hexes - with refueling at Diego Garcia. Hermes, CL/CLAA and DDs will provide escort. Granted, 13 hexes is not much difference. Ceylon invasion - a possibility, but if that happens, the eventual loss of Warspite would be collateral damage compare to the loss of the island.
But food for thought, I may reconsider.

Japanese air ASW is getting better and better - lots of sightings and SS Pompano is reported HIT twice in a single day.

The ususal bombings and bombardments at Manila and Bandoeng.

CBI:
Enemy troop movements in the Wuchow-Kukong-Kanshien area. Kanshien threatened to be surrounded.
DD Arunta bombards Cocos Island on her way from the Med to Australia and damages three Nells. Convoys will have to give that base a wide berth.
British fighters and bombers range over Northern Burma encountering empty air and enemy ground forces well-protected by jungle terrain - at least they gained some exp.

Western Australia:
Nells destroy three tanks of the Aussie Armoured Regiments near Carnarvon. An Australian base force to support CAP is on its way to Carnarvon.
An ASW force of 3 USN DDs is bested by their intended prey, losing a DD.
